Lore's Terrifying New Army in Star Trek: A Principal Danger
In the large and intricate universe of Star Trek, Lore, Data's sinister brother, has returned carrying an apparently terrible plan. Lore's latest scheme calls for the building of a terrifying army whose ferocity surpasses even the great Jem'Hadar.
Star Trek Lore's Legacy of Evil
Within the Star Trek universe, Lore, Data's older brother, has a long and sinister past of evil activities. He is well-known for arranging the arrival of the Crystalline Entity on the planet of its genesis, so bringing about the sad death of its whole population. Lore has also clearly tried to take over the Enterprise. But Lore's most bold scheme was revealed in the two-part "Descent" episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, in which he oversaw a devastating invasion of the Federation using Borg drones released from the collective. Lore reappeared during the "Day of Blood" narrative even though his attempts were turned back-off.
Lore's ascendancy to power and building of His New Army
Left disorganized following Kahless's loss, the Red Path was easily manipulated by Lore. Profiting from their suffering and uncertainty, Lore deftly slipped into their ranks and rose to be in charge. Using his close knowledge of the Borg, Lore gave his "converts cybernetic enhancements." Already depending on drugs to boost their strength, the Red Path members grew even more potent. Although the effect of these improvements on their uniqueness is yet unknown, the result is definitely horrifying.
Lore's Army: An Authority Outside the Jem'Hadar
Lore has shown a gift for organizing strong forces over his lifetime. But revealed in Star Trek Annual 2024, his most recent work exceeds even the Jem'hadar in power. Renowned throughout the galaxy for their relentless violence and savagery, the Jem'Hadar are the shock troopers of the Dominion But Lore's army presents a real danger, maybe more destructive than even the Jem'Hadar. Learning from Kahless's blunders during "Day of Blood," Lore has created among Star Trek history one of the most horrifying armies. Combining drugs, technology, and unbridled violence, he uses control over this army.
Annual 2024 Star Trek: A Turning Point
Written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and illustrated by Rachael Stott, Star Trek Annual 2024 captures a turning point in Lore's reign of terror. Having left Starfleet on a break of absence, Data teams with Chief Miles O'Brien to search for Lore. Their path crosses the quadrant and ends in their meeting with Lore on an enormous space station circling a black hole. Lore kills Korath, the Klingon scientist, and grabs Data's head during their confrontation to expose his fresh army of Borg-enhanced Klingon warriors.
The Stars Trek Universe's Future
The Star Trek universe is seriously threatened by Lore's new army, so upsetting the precarious peace that has been built. Still to be seen are Lore's actions' repercussions as well as the possibility for strife with his new army. With Lore's army now a powerful force, the Star Trek universe will be permanently altered and the Federation's future hangs on precursiveness.
