You can tell the new writer Mark Waid had to give this the attention it deserves! It brought together two big personalities!

As we talk about this epic and amazing story that came back for a new set of audiences. We have to go back to Identity Crisis!

It came about from a 2004 event
In the beginning we had a crime mystery taking place.
That crime? The wife of The Elongated Man, Sue Dibny, gets murdered.
At that moment, it seems like everyone pointed fingers to Doctor Light!
Then, the series, revealed some really big twists: that it was Jean Loring!

The solution might have seemed drastic, and for some, even horrifying.

What would these heroes do?
The Justice League chose a terrible and unforgettable choice. They felt it was vital to ensure their safety by wiping out "Doctor Light"'s memory of what had happened.
"Doctor Light" went on to attack Sue Dibny and learned these super hero secrets and it appears to make things truly unpredictable!
Zatanna, a powerful magic wielder had to be involved. The spell wiped "Doctor Light"'s mind.
They decided they could even go as far to make a decision. The Justice League really altered "Doctor Light's" personality, leaving him much less effective,

But as time moved forward it seemed that it's a real problem! Not a game you can't reverse either!

If that's not frightening, then what? The story gets even more suspenseful! They had to find another solution for Batman. It seems that "Batman" had figured things out! Those secrets made him upset.

There is something that the heroes couldn't keep a secret, right?
And that was how he got "mind-wiped."
As these things happen you can bet "Batman" was more furious and frustrated as he found out how his Justice League friends were taking action to ensure their safety, but with questionable tactics.
"Batman" was a powerful character with a need for truth and his values really came into focus as they were pitted against the Justice League!

One might expect big effects and this was no ordinary time!

Even those that haven't seen "Identity Crisis" could sense something bad was about to go down and that was truly the case. "Identity Crisis," led to the events of a series of DC Comics stories that are hard to forget about.

This event was truly memorable because some villains learned about these "mind wipes" and it changed their view of the world, motivating them to go out and take revenge.
That was a truly difficult event and it looked to be as if "Batman" could feel this energy.
There's a whole new Secret Society with the intent to get even.
What's worse? It seemed the Justice League took a lot of time away to consider what their path forward would look like after "Batman" found out just how dark his friends were willing to get. They even removed a large portion of their own memories from the process, creating a sense of chaos.

In the series, "Dreamer" found her own version of a powerful solution. The comic's storyline. Dreamer had the idea that the Justice League did things a bit too strongly.

She makes the choice to wipe out "Waller's" memories.
"Waller's" power to threaten the universe, and bring chaos to all of these iconic heroes! It really put the Justice League under a lot of pressure!
In the story's end, the team chose a very hard decision!
You can tell how Dreamer does what's needed in a chaotic, desperate moment!
To ensure the safety of all the heroes! The story even mentions the process of how this is handled is unethical, however, it's necessary for this hero,
"Dreamer's" story may hint that there is something even more dangerous than her choice in wiping a person's memory.
She made sure that the Justice League wasn't completely involved. To make it clear this was "her" solution.
