Let me tell you, Zatanna's completely modern costume for this new series is ideal for any Justice League cosplayer trying to liven up their outfit.
Bring the House Down #1 by Mariko Tamaki and Javier Rodríguez starts a new series featuring one of the most adored magic-users in the DC Universe. But this time we see Zatanna attempting an ordinary life instead of the usual tough, magic-wielding Justice League Dark member we know and love. Instead of employing actual magic, she is doing sleight-of- hand stage acts at "the crappiest hotel and casino in Las Vegas".
Fans are waiting to learn what childhood trauma caused Zatanna to reject magic; meanwhile, we can enjoy her stage performance in this first issue and let's just say her costume is absolutely amazing! It's the ideal mix of Vegas flair and classic, and it's a magical update.
The Focus of Zatanna Zatara's New Las Vegas Costume Steals is
One of Zatanna's show posters in her bedroom teases her Las Vegas outfit; we only get a complete view of her magician attire until she explodes onto the stage during one of her shows. Her outfit adds a modern, distinctly Vegas twist while maintaining the ageless appeal of her classic look. It boasts her signature top hat, fishnet leggings, white button-up shirt, and suit jacket with tailcoats. Her classic and Vegas costumes differ, though, in the little details.
Reintroducing her golden underbust bustier, Zatanna: Bring The House Down deviates from her typically grayscale aesthetic. But this time it has more showy appeal with delicate black thread embroidery. One further obvious change is the inclusion of purple components. This color runs through her top hat's ribbon and the jacket's lining. Still, Zatanna's Vegas outfit's footwear is maybe the most dramatic change. She swapped her regular thigh-high black boots for stiletto heels with black and white vintage butler shoe resemblance. It's amazing how fashionable and distinctive they are!
