The Wife of The Flash Shares Something With an Unknown New Character
Flash was able to side-step to different layers of reality (a dimension known as the SpectraVerse) after running across an atomic mirror. Wally started to distance himself from his family and ended himself hooked to visiting the calm layers of reality. Linda, meantime, was experiencing what looked to be severe post-partum depression. But Abra Kadabra's sonic vibrations were being used to control her emotions in line with a plot to split Wally's family apart. Wally ended up caught in the SpectraVerse, where Flash encountered the ghostly Resident.
Though she does seem informed of the Flash Family and has been somewhat sympathetic to Linda's predicament, little has been published about the Resident at this point. Fascinatingly, the Taylor variant shows Flash alongside the Resident as they both longingly stare at one another. Wally wouldn't even dream about cheating on Linda; he is quite committed to her. Still stated, the solicitation highlights a realization the Resident and Linda had. Given how much the Resident knows about Wally and Linda, she could be a portion of The Flash's wife given physical shape.
Will Linda be sacrificing a bit of her self for Flash?
Desperate to get home, Wally has been sprinting about the SpectraVerse. Linda always has been his "lightning rod; she would do anything for Wally and their family." The solicitation notes Linda risking everything, thus maybe Linda—or rather, the resident—is sacrificing a piece of herself to get Wally home. Who knows how that might possibly effect her? Linda will do whatever it takes to keep the Flash Family whole, though, should it include bringing the Scarlet Speedster home.
