An Eldritch evil called Sumanguru produced a vicious clone of The Incredible Hulk in a past issue. Dark magic cut the Hulk's flesh to produce this clone. Now, given Banner's death and his soul's entrapment in a hellish dimension, it's conceivable that Sumanguru's activities have bearing on this event. Sumanguru might have left a stain on Banner and Hulk's souls, sapping their immortality to drive his most recent creation. On the other hand, the Green Door closing might have created another portal leading to a hellish dimension that dangers to permanently trap Banner's soul.
