From the X-Men: From the Ashes Infinity comic, where Jean informs Scott she and the Phoenix have to travel into space to "figure some stuff out," Jean Grey's newest era as Phoenix will be spectacular and dramatic to see. Phoenix wants to be a cosmic hero until she adjusts to her new symbiotic relationship with the Phoenix; she has a lot to prove to herself even if she has saved the cosmos from Enigma and come to grips with her faults as the Dark Phoenix. Jean will go to Gameworld to guard its people from the spawn of Thanos after teamed with Corsair - Scott's space pirate father - in Phoenix #2.
Phoenix already has an interesting relationship with Gameworld; once she eliminated Cordyceps Jones, a violent and cunning criminal leader, many of her people were saved. Her adversary now is far more formidable. Thanos's personal task force for years has been the Black Order, and each member is more lethal than the previous having battled and slain numerous Marvel heroes in the past. In an epic cosmic confrontation Jean will be pitted against Black Dwarf, Supergiant, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Corvus Glaine. Fascinatingly, Supergiant passed in 2018; hence, only time will determine whether her road back to life will influence Jean's journey with the Order.

Although the Black Order will obviously provide Phoenix with a difficult fight, Jean will most certainly be able to manage all they can toss at her and emerge victorious.
