Absolute Batman #1 Review: New Logo, New Axe, New Brutality?

The new Absolute Batman comic book series has created some major buzz amongst fans and critics alike! It looks like there was a major transformation and this new iteration takes us into a new version of the iconic Batman and his story, giving fans some serious food for thought!

A New Look For Batman

There has been an unveiling of the new Absolute Batman with an awesome new look! But what has left some fans perplexed? His logo! What made it particularly unusual is how this new symbol looks very unlike any Batman logo we've seen! The emblem now looks a bit more like a brick!

But even I wasn't impressed the moment I saw the image! Now that Issue #1 has given us a glimpse, my opinion has completely changed.

An Epic Twist!

What was so unexpected, and really changed how the fanbase looked at this iconic logo! Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta's latest masterpiece! The new logo design isn't merely aesthetic but functional as well! In Issue #1 the coolest, and most shocking element was this amazing detail about Batman that many might not know - the logo is designed to be attached and removed. Which means he has a pretty special battle axe! Who knew! The design made Batman super powerful and menacing!

The Reactions & An Important Message:

Lots of discussion from fans after the reveal and the moment fans got a sneak peek, the logo really stood out, becoming the talk of the town! Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta's designs certainly received plenty of attention! Even I, was super surprised and amused by what this new series really was.

In fact, there is a person who noted how it looks more like a brick was really able to highlight the humorous side that fans were so captivated by and it helped generate the massive buzz from Twitter. Even the comments really hit on how the logo resembles an iconic scene of the story and its connection back to Batman’s iconic past.

Absolute Batman DC All In Promo Featured DC Image

Fans might get a slight sense that something is slightly different from other Batman series. This specific version might look similar to others we've seen! It has the classic dark persona that we've all come to expect, however, it does so in a far more serious way! The previous version really tried to avoid harming people! Absolute Batman may have gone the extra mile, even when he is toying with enemies he takes an uncompromising approach with violence. What made this stand out? It showed the raw, visceral nature of his fight for justice.

This Batman makes his intentions apparent through some brutal fighting and even displays the ruthlessness and some really interesting psychology behind him!

This special issue also introduces "The Joker which fans of DC Comics will certainly get excited to get familiar with as there are many differences.

The whole vibe of the issue is intense!
