Get ready for some spooky fun! Tim Burton's sequel to the iconic Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice 2 has a bunch of surprises, and one of the big ones involves the call center staff! They're shrunken heads and there's an awesome, bizarre mystery!
The Afterlife Call Center:
This time around, the call center full of shrunken heads shows up in a big way. In the original movie, Harry the Hunter, was one such character, which was an amazing hint to what the 2024 sequel was bringing. In the first film, Beetlejuice himself becomes a shrunken head!
Beetlejuice 2 keeps most of the main cast from the original Beetlejuice movie (1988), with a few changes. There's even an awesome nod to that past story as well.
- Michael Keaton is back, of course, as the mischievious Beetlejuice
- Wynona Rider returns in the iconic Lydia Deetz role
- Catherine O'Hara also is Delia Deetz
- And Jeffrey Jones shows up again as Charles Deetz.
This newest version, however introduces some characters from the world of the dead as well! This cast includes a special character: Bob who works in this new call center, and there are even more of these shrunken head workers to encounter!
A Big Mystery:
One thing that gets a bunch of fans curious about this new installment. The main character is Beetlejuice himself who comes back with a completely normal head! The weird part about the new movie is that Beetlejuice’s head was actually shrunken earlier but somehow made it back to its original size. Fans wanted answers and what’s truly interesting is that Betelgeuse seems to never solve that issue for Bob, and his team members.
Exploring Bob And The Call Center Crew:
Let's discuss these characters a little more! Bob plays an amazing role! The new character is played by Nick Kellington, and is Betelgeuse's loyal employee, risking life and limb in the afterlife to make things happen for his boss! And if there is ever a loyalty award to give out, it’s sure to be Bob who really did deliver for his boss in Beetlejuice 2, who is really quite old, having been born way back in 1372 and then passing in 2024.
However, why would he be okay with such a state? That remains unknown for those who were fans of this classic series.
- One possibility is that Betelgeuse avoids fixing those problems because those people may actually end up complaining and not doing what needs to happen.
- It’s likely that Betelgeuse used his power to make things right after 1988. This might even mean that a witch doctor might have also had something to do with things!
- Even so, that might not answer what the origin was for Bob's and the call center crew!
The Unanswered Question:
What truly captivates and puzzles everyone after watching Beetlejuice 2 is Beetlejuice's ability to return back to his original size, and yet not wanting to use this method to help Bob and the crew!
There are even more mysteries. Such as the witch doctor, seen in the original Beetlejuice (1988) could just be the reason Beetlejuice and Bob and others even had their heads shrunk. But none of these were really clarified for the sequel movie!
Beetlejuice 2 gave a unique style, some hilarious elements but fans will keep speculating. It's possible there will be more. Beetlejuice 3 might come into play soon. So far this does not mean that they should ever ignore that incredible story in the sequel.
