My Hero Academia: New One-Shot & 'You're Next' Movie Details!

The hit anime series My Hero Academia ended its manga run back in August 2024, but the adventures aren't over just yet! Fans are super hyped for the upcoming movie, My Hero Academia: You're Next, hitting theaters on October 11, 2024.

A New One-Shot Chapter

To get everyone pumped up for the movie, series creator Kohei Horikoshi dropped a special 7-page one-shot chapter on Viz's Shonen Jump app! This short chapter acts as a bridge between the end of the manga and the beginning of the film. This special manga chapter gives fans a closer look and will feature Class 1-A members discovering Deku's secret notebook full of notes about everyone! This is a cool, unexpected prequel to help add some context.

All Might's Reaction

The one-shot chapter shows how some characters respond better than others to these secret notes. While a bunch of those familiar characters show up, the ending is one that most viewers will never forget. It shows a brooding All Might reflecting on the fact that he isn't the Symbol of Peace anymore! It shows the moment, that his legacy moves to those he trained.

We get to see him with the mysterious suitcase that's appeared often throughout season 7.
It seems there's more waiting to come out in the season finale and it is something we will see very soon, on Saturday!
That makes it extra exciting as it might even tie back to the film.

This mysterious briefcase seems to hold significance that will show what this means to season 7. What makes this moment especially exciting? This prequel will let us focus on All Might and the big reactions! While the focus might not have given us details, about what might go on within the movie, the character shows how compelling and iconic his persona continues to be, while being challenged in a new way. What's going to happen in My Hero Academia: You're Next. It's an epic action packed film, where the greatest My Hero Academia protagonists will go head to head with an incredible and extremely dangerous villain. Dark Might comes in with a super creepy and interesting twist.

This terrifying foe has the same abilities and even the same appearance!

A major surprise! While no one truly expects that these villains are invincible, those who have been following the series closely will not be able to wait to see just how things go when this group has their hands full fighting someone that they know is virtually invincible!

It’s going to be amazing to see how those beloved heroes show up as they take on some incredible adventures and battles!
