The developer of the highly praised medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Warhorse Studios, is keeping a promise given to its committed investors ten years ago. Deliverance 2, scheduled for later this year, will give those who helped the original title via crowdsourcing a free copy of the game.
Deliverance, the first Kingdom Come, broke with the conventional fantasy-driven role-players by embracing realism and historical accuracy. Players related to it, surpassing its £300,000 fundraising target by a notable margin to generate a total of £1,106,371 from 35,484 backers.
Deliverance 2 promises to expand on the narrative of Henry, the blacksmith's son seeking vengeance for the murder of his family and the destruction of his hometown, so building on the basis of its predecessor. Henry will get more deeply involved in Kuttenberg's politics, so submerging players in the complex power relations of the world.
Originally thinking of Kingdom Come: Deliverance as a two-part experience, Warhorse Studios promised backers a "Act 2". Although the original game stretched much beyond the initial 20-hour projection, reaching a playtime of 41 hours for the main campaign and a whopping 130 hours for completionists, the studio sees Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as the realization of the promised "Act 2" for its devoted players.
Not every backer will get a free copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. This reward will go to only those who pledged at higher tiers. "DUKE," the minimum tier qualified for the free copy, demands a pledge of $200 for the Collector's Edition of the first game, which included the promise of "Act 2."
The backer tiers are broken out here, together with their eligibility for the free copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2:

The action of Warhorse Studios is evidence of their dedication to their community. They have kept in mind the people who from the start helped to realize their vision. While many projects experience a shift in scope from their initial crowdfunding goals, Warhorse Studios has honored their pledge to provide a substantial reward to those who backed the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance at a significant level. For those who started the series from the beginning, a free copy of a game as vast as Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is absolutely a welcome gift.
Deliverance 2 is scheduled for PC under Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
