"Join the Resistance": DC's Justice League Returns wearing epic new costumes and with NO SUPERPOWERS.
Viewing the reunification of the original Justice League as the DC Universe's newest "Resistance," a peculiar piece of art is offering fans DC's grand summer event Absolute Power is almost here following months of hype. Now, as the famous team confronts the world utterly helpless, supporters get their best view of it.
Mikel Janin's published artwork on Facebook, Instagram, and X throughout DC Comics' social media accounts caught attention with the tagline "Can DC's heroes save the world without their superpowers". Together with the text "Join the Resistance!" the artwork features the original seven members of the Justice League. Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and the Flash all seem sporting fresh suits. While Green Lantern chooses a more grounded style with a flight suit and bomber jacket, Superman is sporting the Recovery Suit he used to heal from his battle with Doomsday.
Returning with the Big Seven the Justice League
Throughout the Dawn of DC project, the Justice League was mainly missing so that the Titans could take front stage as the top superhero team. Based on appearances, though, Absolute Power could have major consequences depending on if some heroes fail to regain their abilities. Depending on the damage done in the catastrophe, the DC Universe might turn into a somewhat chaotic environment; hence, no squad is better equipped to guide the planet out of turmoil than the Big Seven. For the Justice League, this promotional artwork might mean great things even with Absolute Power's menace hovering above.

Absolute Power is reuniting the Original Justice League.
DC Comics disclosed earlier this year that the Dawn of DC era was nearing end with the crossover event Absolute Power. Absolute Power will see Amanda Waller creating a "Trinity of Evil" with the newly unveiled Brainiac Queen and Batman's potent automaton Failsafe. By robbing the powers of heroes and villains both, the three will together see Waller's agenda through and produce a world devoid of metahumans. Worse, Waller is deploying the terrifying Task Force VII on the planet—a collection of Amazo robots fashioned like the founding members of the Justice Leauge.
This could be a clue about the Justice League's future even if it's difficult to predict what the DC Universe will look like following Absolute Power. Janin's teaser artwork is interesting even though the event is still few months away. Along with displaying the most famous DC heroes and their fresh Absolute Power appearance, it also features the founding members reunited for the first time in years. Seeing simply the initial seven members of the Justice League cooperating is rare. But not a minute too soon, this all-hands-on-deck scenario is reuniting them. This could be a clue about the Justice League's future even if it's difficult to predict what the DC Universe will look like following Absolute Power.
