In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, chapter #14, we see the devastating effects of Omnipotence, a Shinjutsu so powerful it can rewrite reality itself! This godlike power, first introduced in chapter #80, allows its user to make desires a reality, but it does so by creating a seemingly inescapable illusion that bends the minds of its victims.
Even when someone sees through the illusion, the Omnipotence is shown to work, influencing the very minds and reasoning of those who know better, and shows the almost insurmountable power.
Shikamaru Falls Victim to Omnipotence
Take Shikamaru for example. The sharp-witted ninja initially doubted his perception after suspecting Boruto's innocence, recognizing the power of the Omnipotence and yet! Still fell right under its sway, demonstrating that logic alone cannot fight against this ability.
Who is Immune to Omnipotence?
This Shinjutsu isn't all powerful, after all! A few notable exceptions that show its limitations:
- Otsutsuki clan members like Boruto, Momoshiki, and Kawaki.

Even if Omnipotence is seemingly unstoppable, there may still be some paths to escape this world and there have been cases where this new Shinjutsu has been thwarted! As we learned! What helps show the full effects is Mitsuki, for example! He seemed unaffected!

As Boruto is getting ready for this new storyline the focus of the narrative turns back to Kawaki. This incredible show gave audiences some wild battles. But as Boruto battles to reveal the truth in a world warped by the effects of Omnipotence the fans can appreciate how challenging this power truly is, it is ultimately this kind of series, that challenges the idea of just what power truly is!
