Bethesda's Starfield is a huge game already and fans are excited about a new DLC expansion!
Shattered Space DLC
This expansion is going to shake up the way people play Starfield. The story focuses on the planet Va'run'kaai and is not set in the big expansive universe of Starfield. But it’s got a deeper story and tons of quests, areas to explore, and dangerous enemies.
New Monsters In Shattered Space
Players are going to meet lots of creepy new creatures. The Shattered Space DLC has brand new enemies such as Vortex Horrors, Redeemed, and Phantoms. The Redeemed are zealots from messed-up experiments and the Phantoms, that come when accessing The Oracle suck players into the Vortex. The Phantoms then transform these players into these super creepy and powerful enemies. Their minds fracture as these powers begin taking hold, and the Phantoms are capable of appearing and disappearing which is terrifying and very difficult for players to tackle. These enemies also unleash powerful attacks with electricity!
Vortex Horrors
Get ready for one of the most terrifying mini-bosses Starfield ever gave gamers. They are the Vortex Horrors!
These are truly frightening! They've got skulls for joints! While scary to look at these things really dish out some intense and heavy combat. Vortex Horrors show up around Level 49 so they will truly wreck a lower-level player’s stats pretty fast.
- These baddies appear from nowhere. Jumping out and surprising anyone who is not paying attention.
- These creatures will make a low level player quickly run out of medkits during these fights!
- Even experienced players are warned as it looks like they'll want to be vigilant.
Where To Find Vortex Horrors
Reddit users were looking to help one another with where to find these Vortex Horrors and even made some predictions that might just prove correct. One player named u/Loner18, thinks these things might be near this blue goo but other gamers who participated in a Reddit thread feel Vortex Horrors spawn when a player kills a Phantom.
It's certainly something that everyone is debating and that these mini-bosses can bring real danger to the planet Va'run'kaai.
Why Fight Vortex Horrors?
Why bother? There are plenty of reasons for Starfield players to want to tackle these crazy monsters. One great thing, if you are after achievements is to kill 25 of them to get one. It looks like this requires some hunting!
There are other rewards. It turns out Vortex Horrors will drop ingredients for Vortex Grenades which players need, for fighting. That’s what makes these mini-bosses very important and something people will continue to tackle even if this can really hurt and wipe out players, those who like Starfield and its intense gameplay will feel the need to overcome!
So while these are super hard to battle it's pretty worth the time if you know what you are doing and really want to improve and advance the overall gaming experience! That's especially true, if you are up for the challenge and a fan of Bethesda and its many titles!
