Was Vhague Stronger than Vermithor?
Vhagar is not unbeatable even if she is the biggest and oldest dragon in House Of The Dragon. Though younger, Vermithor is renowned for its enormity and savagery. It's difficult to determine, though, who is stronger exactly. Vermithor's size plus the prospect of other dragons battling against Vhagar would make things extremely tough for Vhagar, even if her battle expertise and size would probably provide her the edge in a one-on-one fight.
Did Rhaenyra set Aemond's trap?
Yes! Knowing Aemond would probably pursue, Rhaenyra, with her strategic mind, gently drew Aemond into a trap by sending Ulf and Silverwing to King's Landing. Although Team Green would have suffered greatly from losing Vhagar, the chance of losing their new dragon rider was rather great.
