Dyana in House of the Dragon is someone else?
Fans of House of the Dragon most likely witnessed the scene where Mysaria sends Rhaenyra's maid, Elinda, to King's Landing. Elinda approaches a woman's door, but who is she? It's Dyana, a small child assaulted by Aegon in season one.
First presented in season 1, episode 8, Dyana was taken advantage of by Aegon, just before his coronation. She returned in season 2, episode 3 when Ulf's tavern buddy gropes her. She is a barmaid, thus Aegon's presence in that scene is not random. Dyana's appearance in the most recent episode seems to be hinting to something more.
Mysaria's strategy is what?
Following the Blood & Cheese episode, House Of The Dragon's political conflict has evolved into a game of information, precisely what Mysaria's plan calls for. The City Watch despises Aegon and the Hightowers, the people of King's Landing are unhappy with the way things are, and Rhaenyra will finally go back to take her kingdom. Rhaenyra requires the common people on her side if she is to take the capital.
It's a complex matter since, in Westeros, a society run by men, a woman's voice might not be given any weight. But rumors of Aegon's terrible deeds could damage his reputation and cause an uprising favorable for Rhaenyra.
Rhaenyra wants to wield the great weapon that people's will is.
This implies what for Dyana? She will play what part in the future of Westeros? We shall have to wait and watch.
