The Rookie Says Goodbye To A Cast Member!
You might have caught Tru Valentino playing Aaron Thorsen on The Rookie! This awesome ABC show about police officers is getting a major change, because Aaron is leaving in Season 7. Fans are a bit sad, but Tru Valentino gave a pretty sweet message on Instagram about why he’s saying goodbye for now!
Why is Tru Valentino leaving The Rookie?
- Tru Valentino's time with the show - he’s been on it since Season 4, but actually joined as a regular for Season 5! But he is a voice actor! Think, for example, his awesome role in "Cuphead"! It seems like it's an opportunity to try other projects with all that voice acting talent.
- You know how Aaron's a social media influencer - but this guy ended up in a lot of trouble, and then became a police officer!
Did he just decide to leave The Rookie?
- There’s a chance that Aaron decided to get away from the stress. We don't know the exact details yet, so it's all up for grabs - but we could get a visit from Aaron, if The Rookie Season 7 decides to bring him back!
- But you’ll see some brand-new officers, Miles (played by Deric Augustine), and Seth (Patrick Keleher), too! That’s going to make Season 7 super interesting!
How Can I Catch Up on The Rookie?
- We’ve already seen 6 awesome seasons! You gotta watch it!
- There's so much drama. Remember that iconic, oldest police rookie - John Nolan? Nathan Fillion plays him - that's the whole heart of the show. It’s all about how John’s trying to make a name for himself on The Los Angeles Police Department, in that police procedural TV show! There's a lot to learn - like why they always have so many cases and how to deal with the crazy stuff that happens at the Mid-Wilshire Precinct!

Who Are the New Faces in Season 7?
- There are tons of actors we are getting ready to see! You have Mekia Cox and Alyssa Diaz who play officers and are super talented - then you’ve got Richard T. Jones playing another cop and Melissa O'Neil.
- This season will get super dramatic! We have Eric Winter playing a great, cool cop character and even the awesome Jenna Dewan! Then we have Shawn Ashmore.
There is a huge cast in The Rookie! It’s definitely a great show! It’s got drama, laughs - what else could you want? And get ready for even more! Season 7 will be super dramatic.
