Looking Back at That '90s Show Part 2
That '90s Show opens in 1996 with Leia Forman (Callie Haverda) back in Point Place for another summer with her grandparents. Part 2 shows Leia and Jay in a good position, following the relationship upheaval of the first season; other known pairings like Nate and Nikki are also going strong. But things change when Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith—as Butch and Sonny respectively—accidentally smash their car into Red and Kitty's house, deranging Leia's house party preparations.
What might one expect from Part 3 of That '90s Show?
Showrunner Greg Mettler said that Laura Prepon will be a major player in part 3 as Donna, Leia's mother. Prepon also oversaw all eight episodes, therefore confirming the link of the spinoff to the original series. Part 2's cliffhanger finale, which alluded to the coming of a legendary 90s actor, suggests to further change the narratives of Leia, Jay, and the rest of the Point Place team. Should part 3 be successful, it could result in another renewal, therefore carrying on the legacy of That '70s Show for next generations.
