Eloise finds what in the Bridgerton Books?
Eloise finding Penelope's Whistledown secret before everyone else in Bridgerton season 2 assured her story would have been a rather clean slate in season 3, only faintly reflecting her journey in Colin and Penelope's book, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton. Her emotions were comparable as she reunited with Penelope, even if Bridgerton Season 3, part 1 saw Eloise more against Colin and Penelope's marriage than in the book. Eloise felt as isolated as a result of everyone grouping together in Bridgerton season 3 as she did in Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, but her response on the program was substantially different from that in the book.
Love Only the sixth Bridgerton book, To Sir Phillip, With Love, which highlighted Eloise's story showed why Mr. Bridgerton presented her as more secretive, usually sneaking away in her chamber to compose letters. While in the Books Eloise kept her correspondence with Phillip a secret at first by chance, wanting to discuss her problems with her siblings but unable to, and later by choice because he was the only thing nobody knew about, Eloise hid something from Colin in Bridgerton Season 3 for different reasons. Eloise had a communication with her potential love interest in the fourth Bridgerton book before running away to his estate in the fifth book, To Sir Phillip, With Love, therefore her story in the books differs greatly from her journey in Bridgerton season 3.
Eloise Marries in the Bridgerton Books?
Although they finally knew each other and where they were coming from, running away from London already assured Eloise would have had to marry Phillip in To Sir Phillip, With Love, even if discovering love as a result. Though driven by the incorrect motives (feeling guilty having been left alone because the person she relied on remaining a spinster with married her brother Colin), Eloise's risk brought her real love and marriage in the Books. But Eloise's happy ending also featured from the first moment two children, as she related with Oliver and Amanda before relating with Phillip.
Oliver and Amanda battled the loss of Marina like Phillip, but his absence made it worse. The twins started behaving out to seek Phillip's attention, which would have their governess or teacher leave, finally leading Phillip punishing them. Before she knew she sought a love relationship with Phillip, Eloise found herself driven into the Cranes' troubles in To Sir Phillip, With Love, assuming a mothering position. For book Eloise, who neither actively searched for a match nor would be entirely at odds with TV Show Eloise, this situation was already unique.
Focus of Bridgerton Season 3 on Eloise's Story & Plans to Achieve Her Wishes Puts Her Book Story Farther Away in the Best Possible Way
Eloise clearly played a major part, leading to her tale developing differently on the show from Julia Quinn's Bridgerton Books, even if season 3 of the show focused on Colin and Penelope's romance. Colin courting Penelope and especially Whistledown's secret identity as Lady Whistledown guarantees Eloise would have had a major part in Bridgerton season 3, so bridging season 2 ending with Eloise discovering Penelope's secret identity as Lady Whistledown would have had a big impact. The struggle of Eloise and Penelope altered numerous Bridgerton season 3 events from the Books, hence Eloise's future narrative most likely modified as well.
If the ending of Bridgerton season 2 saw Eloise put herself first after faulting Penelope for her choices of the morsels of information she shared on Whistledown, season 3 saw her pushing back on everything that made her Eloise, instead wishing to fit in, even trying to make friends with other debutantes outside Cressida. With Penelope's secret revealed by Colin and her once-friend Cressida blackmailing Penelope, bridging her season 3, part 2 puts Eloise in front of even more difficult obstacles, so ensuring that who she was at the start of season 3 was not the Eloise that emerges in the closing of Bridgerton season 3.
How Bridgerton Changing Eloise's Book Story
Her journey in Bridgerton season 3 ensured that Eloise's book narrative—at least not how the books presented it—won't come to pass. Though Eloise freely "joined the winning side" in Bridgerton season 3, part 1, she never understood, even striving to fit in, part 2 revealed more akin to how she was in Bridgerton seasons 1 and 2. She was not challenging the rules of society. Eloise's conflict with Cressida and concerns about Penelope being damaged as the Lady Whistledown secret lingered over them prompted Eloise to face her road to find herself, beyond feeling lonely because everyone else coupled off.
As a condition for her goal to alter the world, Eloise's book's ideal shifts in Bridgerton season 3 to her request to follow Francesca and John Stirling to Scotland, seeking to "live for a little bit outside our tiny bubble" and have adventures. First in her chat with Benedict, then when Eloise asked Francesca if she might join her in Scotland, Eloise emphasized twice the wish to explore the world to change it in Bridgerton season 3's ending. Going back to trying to transform the world refocused the attention on Eloise's dreams, those outside of Whistledown.
Leading into Season 4 of the Regency Romance Series, Bridgerton Showrunner Jess Brownell tackles just what awaits Benedict and Eloise's next chapter.
As Benedict and Eloise start season four of the Regency romance drama, Bridgerton creator Jess Brownell discusses what is ahead for their future chapters.
The popularity of the Show among viewers and the compliments given to the actors and the series point to a quite bright future for it. Should the program go on, Benedict and Eloise's future seems bright and should open an interesting chapter for both characters.
