The internet is buzzing about Manny Jacinto's Qimir, and it seems like the forbidden love is about to get even hotter in "The Acolyte." Showrunner Leslye Headland confirmed that Qimir and Osha are about to embark on a romantic journey, and we can't wait to see what happens!
In an interview with Collider, Headland dropped some major hints: "It's so clear what's going on. So anybody that's picking up on it, congrats, awesome. But again, the dynamics had to be what they are after what he did in [Episode] 5. He cannot seem like an alpha male-y, intimidating — we know he's capable of that from 5 — but that cannot be his dynamic with her. It wouldn't make sense! We have to see this other side of him, and we have to see specifically the way he is with her. He never let Mae see his face, and he let her see him naked. You know what I mean? The character design was very, very intentional."
Headland even drew a connection to Kylo Ren and Rey, saying their dynamic inspired this one. And let's be real, who doesn't love a good forbidden romance in Star Wars? Think Anakin and Padmé, or the intense connection between Kylo Ren and Rey - this is going to be epic!
Unlike Kylo and Rey, who were constantly battling their connection, Qimir and Osha share a deeper understanding. Headland confirmed that they are more alike than they realize, which makes their Romance even more intriguing. We can't wait to see how this relationship unfolds!
