One Piece runs fresh episodes weekly on Crunchyroll and Netflix, which may be viewed via their apps, websites, or third-party services like Amazon Prime for Crunchyroll, same as in earlier episodes. Although episode #1109 would have been shown on Saturday, June 15, the Anime will have a recap special focusing on the Four Emperors both old and new. Assuming no more delays, One Piece episode #1109 should air on Saturday, June 22 at 7:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), 10:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST), and 3:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
One Piece episode #1108 fell significantly short of the average for past few years, as already said. Although the art and animation were never absolutely horrible, there was a clear rigidity to everything more usually than not, and worse even was the aggressive amount of padding used through flashbacks and dragging scenes out with very little meaningful information. Seeing that the Anime has been improving in its direction after so many months, one Piece episode #1108 felt like the kind of episode that caused the division in the series before the Wano arc. It is therefore disappointing.
One of the main lessons from One Piece episode #1108 is how Lucci is no more a real concern. Although Lucci was among the toughest opponent Luffy has ever faced, not only did Luffy overcome him once more with Gear 5, but now Luffy can dismiss a possible betrayal from Lucci since he is entirely sure he can readily defeat Lucci once more if they fought. Though sadly episode #1108 shows just how meaningless that is given how strong Luffy and everyone else have become, in unison. Lucci is significantly stronger than he was in his first appearance.
Episode #1108, One Piece, "Incomprehensible!" Lilith tried to get S- Snake to stand down, but she showed no indication of listening to her, hence someone of equal or greater level to Vegapunk and the Satellites was under control of the Seraphim. From there, S-Snake collapsed the bridge everyone was standing on, but owing to their DOM shoes they landed safely on the earth below.
Further shockingly, Vegapunk, who should have been with Bonney, was also being held captive elsewhere on the island; elsewise, the missing Cipher Pol agents Lucci discussed earlier were discovered to have been imprisoned and detained deep within the Labophase. Sentomaru instructed the other scientists to escape right away as Vegapunk described how dreadful things were, the episode even explicitly contrasting the Marine intentions for Egghead with what the Buster Call on Ohara had in mind.
One Piece has reached a significant turning point in the Egghead Island arc and will surely make episode #1109 an interesting one to view upon its eventual premiere. Though specifics on episode #1109 are lacking, including the title, following all that transpired in episode #1108, it is almost certain that this will be yet another great one.
Though not horrible, One Piece episode #1108 was mainly adequate entertainment. Though sadly One Piece episode #1108 felt like a return to some of the worst the One Piece anime has to offer, the Egghead Island arc has maintained the anime's rising general quality from the Wano arc.
Though it's probably only an exception rather than a forerunner to a significant drop in quality, having an episode like that nevertheless depresses me.
One Piece chronicles the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a laid-back young pirate who gained the ability to stretch like rubber following consumption of a Devil Fruit. Seeking the One Piece, the ultimate reward, Luffy and his varied crew travel the Grand Line to become the Pirate King.
Over its long run, One Piece has produced several fascinating characters, gripping stories, and first-rate action. The growth of the show will fascinate and entertain viewers.
