A behind-the-scenes picture reveals that Denzel Washington and Spike Lee recently finished filming High and Low, a new movie project. Inspired by a 1963 Akira Kurosawa thriller of the same name, High and Low is directed by Spike Lee, with whom Washington has five times worked. The original film centers on a shoe company president who discovers an attempt at extortion following the kidnapping and ransom call of his chauffeur. Starting earlier this year with Washington as the major star, Lee's High and Low adaptation started filming.
Lee recently uploaded a picture on Instagram verifying that Low and High filming has just ended. Lee and Washington have worked on Mo' Better Blues (1990), Malcolm X (1992), He Got Game (1998), and Inside Man (2006), in that sequence of release. Each of these Movies explored distinct genres and kinds of people, needing different director and actor approaches, therefore they were somewhat varied. Each of these initiatives has been generally favorably received by viewers and critics, as the table below shows, implying that High and Low will follow the same trend.

Unlike Inside Man, Washington's character in High and Low would seem not to be police enforcement. Though nothing is yet known, Washington will most likely be fulfilling the exciting new role of the shoe company executive who discovers he is the subject of an extortion campaign. Though it clearly has the elements of an interesting divergence, it is still to be seen how High and Low will stand against Lee and Washington's earlier films together.
