But Variety just dropped a bombshell: Judkins, along with executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus, all left the project. And guess what? They had already completed multiple scripts! It might need a lot more effort given just how complex and time consuming its post-production will require, given its intended scope and that fantastic setting; the amount of special effects is going to require far more production time for quality assurance and review.

We definitely were excited for the new trailers; all the behind-the-scenes details like characters and plot announcements and more. But now that might get put way, way later down the production line, if everything still follows that production schedule. It would greatly depend on whether the new writers and team were able to maintain that kind of fast pacing. However, it remains certain that this complete reboot gives God of War a second chance for success.
