24-year Wolverine Problem Solved by Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine
The much-loved actor Hugh Jackman, who brought Wolverine to life on film for more than two decades, recently disclosed that his comeback as Logan in the much awaited "Deadpool & Wolverine" resolved a 24-year-old issue he had with the venerable character. Jackman said he had been trying for years to figure out the ideal portrayal of Wolverine, especially focusing on a particular feature of the character he felt he couldn't quite capture. But working with Levy and Reynolds yielded a breakthrough that unlocked something he had missed for years. "I said quite early on, 'This is something I've been trying to crack. Not that I have been able to. Jackman said, "It's been bothering me for 24 years and I pitched it in several variants." "We just couldn't get there, whether it was me and these guys wrote something that unlocked it for me, and there's so much in the writing that they done for me."
Deadpool and Wolverine: an unusual dynamic
The third installment in the Deadpool series, the movie features the first time the Merc with a Mouth has seen the screen alongside Wolverine. Jackman notes that this special dynamic gave the movie a whole fresh perspective and let him investigate Wolverine in an other direction. "I mean, to see Wolverace with Deadpool is a whole different tone, but I'm so grateful for that," he said. "I'm so happy you asked me the question; I feel such a release. Thus, the response is indeed yes; I am eager for you people to find it."
