MCU Future Uncertain for Gambit Based on Tragic X-Men '97 Death
Fans expecting Gambit to enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in live-action could be let down. Feige was asked in a recent interview endorsing the much awaited summer blockbuster "Deadpool & Wolverine," if viewers could expect to see Gambit make his MCU debut following the character's tragic death in "X-men '97." Feige answered resolutely, "I can't [confirm Gambit is coming in a future live-action project]! [laugh] But I'm glad you were so touched."
