Confirmed to be directing the film back in 2021, Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli) quit Blade's production in September 2022 owing to ongoing production scheduling issues. Shortly after, Yann Demange (Lovecraft Country) took over as Director alongside Beau DeMayo (X-Men '97) to edit the script.
