Lightsaber Combat Technique Trakata Is Prohibited
A 30-year-old Legends lightsaber technique that the Jedi outlawed has recently been brought back by The Acolyte. In The Acolyte episode 5, the enigmatic Sith Lord was ultimately revealed, validating all the viewers had long ago surmised.
"The Stranger" is actually Qimir played by Manny Jacinto, and he is a very powerful character; the Sith Lord decimated a whole group of Jedi.
The Stranger Fought The Jedi With The Use of His Force Powers
The peculiar dark aspect of the Stranger Another advantage he had was force power. He had the same mental capacity as the Brendok witches, confusing the Jedi and making them unsure of how to best defend themselves against his attacks.
Their erratic behavior and uneasiness mixed with Trakata's cunning tactic left them completely off balance. It's not surprising that The Acolyte episode 5 quickly turned into a massacre of Jedi.
Trakata Is An Embarrassing And Deceitful Lightsaber Technique
Trakata, a Lightsaber Technique first seen in the Star Wars: Dark Empire audio drama thirty years ago, is ideal for Sith use because it includes deception—using a lightsaber to both activate and deactivate during combat to create gaps that the Sith may take advantage of.
It works especially well when paired with Jar'kai, another lightsaber technique that involves using two lightsabers simultaneously. The Stranger can combine the two tactics thanks to his unique lightsaber.
The Jedi Are in Danger From Qimir's Lightsaber Technique
The Jedi regarded Trakata as a prohibited form in Legends. Ultimately, it's the pinnacle of "dirty fighting"—a means of tricking your opponent while engaging in conflict. A Trakata practitioner willfully misdirects their opponent with a single fake move before killing them.
It's understandable why the Jedi disapproved of Trakata because they believed it to be dishonorable. It's likely that the Jedi who battled the Stranger found it difficult to adjust, and that's also the case in Legends.
