Rawr! Jurassic World Dominion and Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Conquer Netflix's Global Charts!

Jurassic Park's Enduring Appeal: A Box Office Giant and a 100% Rotten Tomatoes Hit!

The Jurassic Park franchise is seriously HUGE, raking in over $6 billion worldwide and captivating fans across generations. It all started with Steven Spielberg's classic 1993 film (based on Michael Crichton's novel). The sequels were good; yet less impactful! That original Jurassic Park completely shifted expectations; a turning point in cinematic history. And then it all went somewhat quiet after Jurassic Park III (2001), which disappointed fans immensely because it failed to meet those high standards and excitement levels!  And those amazing dinos weren’t completely gone for long.

Then Jurassic World (2015), directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard –this reboot brought those mega-dinosaurs back into that global limelight, and then some! Then we had Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) followed by Jurassic World Dominion (2022).    Dominion even brought back the original cast (Laura DernJeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill).   Now that’s awesome!

Meanwhile, the animated Chaos Theory season 2– a sequel to Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous– just landed on October 17th; and already shows a profound amount of success!

The numbers? Crazy! For the week of October 14th-20thDominion snagged the ninth spot (English-language films), with 4.6 million views, followed by Chaos Theory season 2, which snagged sixth place (English TV Series) with 2.9 million views! And that is even with some geographical differences!

This situation truly highlights this discrepancy: The audience doesn’t completely match what the critics thought! Jurassic World Dominion, with a Box Office of $1 billion had this incredibly low 29% Rotten Tomatoes score, labelled as this kind of massive disappointment; an anticlimactic conclusion by many viewers! Meanwhile, Chaos Theory season 2, currently boasting an amazing 100% score, showcasing just how often critics can really completely misjudge and underestimate those aspects most appealing to viewers.

And even despite Dominion's lackluster reviews; and the generally negative critical reception, audiences clearly don’t care; still craving more dino-adventures. It’s easy to say there might be huge success ahead for that future movie Jurassic World Rebirth; also further confirming this deep and lasting audience preference, completely showing the continuing demand for dinosaurs in entertainment, even despite these negative comments!

Even despite critics generally criticizing this amazing and highly anticipated finale and several minor stumbles throughout that specific set of films, audiences flocked to this cinematic extravaganza in Dominion! And Chaos Theory season 2's amazing reviews combined with significant views showcases a massive continued audience affection.  Those dinosaurs?   They're not going anywhere anytime soon!
