Unlock Strohl's Legacy: A Complete Walkthrough for Metaphor: ReFantazio's "A Noble's Legacy" Quest!
Boost Your Tolerance: Why You Need This Metaphor: ReFantazio Side Quest!
Want to power up your protagonist in Metaphor: ReFantazio? Then you’ll want to tackle “A Noble’s Legacy,” a totally fun side quest! Completing it will increase your Tolerance stat; making your character significantly stronger; it is incredibly important to have maxed-out stats if attempting that later-game content. You’ll also strengthen your bond with Strohl, that awesome, ever-present companion you’ve probably got by your side since the beginning (around June 6th)!
This quest's tricky; It requires finding a mysterious Fishmonger NPC. We’ve got the complete guide to make this whole thing smooth, making the task both relatively easier but also explaining exactly how much benefit these particular increases and those resulting improved stats could really do for the protagonist, making the relatively small side quest actually worth more than what initially appeared!
Getting Started: Unlocking "A Noble's Legacy"
First? You’ll need Bond Level 5 with Strohl. This is only acquired through a certain amount of play, increasing your relationship levels which means a lot of time spent doing various activities. Once that cutscene confirming this higher bond level plays, “A Noble’s Legacy” is unlocked! This also gets easier if you've focused on strengthening that particular character. The quest is in the game’s “Quest” section of the main menu; where it appears alongside the primary storyline missions.
This quest falls under “Favour” side quests – this is another simple identifier for those unfamiliar with these kinds of quests; and it is useful in case many quests overlap, allowing players additional and easier management! And that's it, no deadlines, and absolutely zero combat! It's purely about puzzle-solving; this should make you excited to explore this aspect for all these reasons.
Finding the Elusive Fishmonger: Clues and the Location
The key? Find that Fishmonger that Strohl says holds clues to his family inheritance. The Grand Cathedral in Grand Trad is your starting point. You are provided only with one vague clue.
The Grand Cathedral has many vendors— some resembling that Fishmonger. Your party can’t help, folks, you're completely on your own. It isn’t going to be something that simply comes with that primary storyline or even those bigger side quests; the actual location isn’t actually found through gameplay.
Now, head into Grand Trad’s market—talk to the Water Merchant (small water droplet icon above his head). Asking about the Fishmonger reveals their location – but not explicitly; his pattern and general work schedule, based on the day's catch. Others (Herb-Seller and Burly Butcher) say much the same—but are mostly uninformative.
Unlocking the Secret: Talking to the Fishmonger
Run around the market enough– you'll hear that Fishmonger calling for customers! The camera zooms in showing you exactly where that NPC appears and it is relatively easy to identify based on a unique and memorable bright orange shirt worn next to his small fish shop in this same location.
Talk and get as much dialogue as you can, learning that the Capital Merchant knows about Strohl’s inheritance. If you’ve already raised Imagination to at least 3, there is that special secret dialogue. Ask the Capital Merchant about Strohl’s father. He only then will fully talk, revealing about the hidden family money.
Completing the Quest and Claiming Your Rewards
The final stage? Return to Strohl! This final action kicks off an awesome cutscene explaining things about Strohl; and completing this results in huge benefits! The rewards are superb! Tolerance is increased! Plus, you increase Strohl's Bond Level—tightening that amazing partnership within your adventure!
Conclusion: A Side Quest That Packs a Punch
“A Noble’s Legacy” isn't just some filler! It’s a highly rewarding side quest that boosts Tolerance, strengthens that Strohl bond; and the steps involve aren't extremely difficult, but does require a level of effort; however, most people will have naturally completed the conditions simply from having completed most of the other side quests, making it entirely manageable and even beneficial to tackle it sooner!
