The first Joker movie did a remarkable job telling a very serious, dark story and we can tell it made an impact on viewers as Todd Phillips brought back one of the most memorable DC villains for an epic story!
This sequel takes audiences through a wild journey. As the movie progresses, viewers are constantly left in wonder and struggling to differentiate between a wild ride of fantasy and reality as Arthur Fleck ( played by Joaquin Phoenix), the iconic Joker and Harley Quinn (played by Lady Gaga), the object of his affection, are a pair with lots to keep everyone watching!
What's Real?
Throughout the story, Arthur Fleck takes center stage and audiences are asked to dive into his mental world. However, as he walks through his trial. What makes it complex is that there are elements of the story that are truly happening and other hallucinations or scenes that have become something out of the imagination! It turns out Lee or Harley Quinn might really be in the story!
For Arthur, they have a big bond in "Joker: Folie à Deux.", though we get to see a few key interactions of the characters.
But those scenes were actually pretty convincing. Even though there was a special scene with Lee. She stole a TV, giving the feeling it may just have happened!

If you think this movie gives us an answer to a really complex and dramatic storyline, think again! It's very easy to dive into "Joker's headspace! We may never have definitive answers for what's going on. One of the coolest scenes is the intimate connection between "Arthur" and "Lee" that happens after "Arthur" gets sent to Arkham and we may see how "Lee" was able to get permission from guards to see him. It appears this may just be something from his mind.
Those who haven't watched this might be left to ponder if the movie is going to be some dark story full of tragic and frightening events, but you're about to find out. This is definitely not something to be missed for those that enjoy those mind-bending movies! This story, this series and "Joker" is always in a wild state of disorientation!
