With a roster of more than a dozen important characters, Stingray bidding farewell in season 6 also shows the Cobra Kai crew is committed to closing the program off in a significant manner.
Hauser's absence from Cobra Kai Season 6 would make sense given Silver's incarceration and the dojo's dissolution at the end of season five, but one main reason Stingray has to return is Kreese's enigmatic plan for retribution. Having plotted with Silver to pin his attack of Stingray on Kreese, Stingray was finally the reason Johnny's former sensei went to jail initially. Kreese is definitely one of Stingray's targets for whatever he is preparing since he now pretended to be dead in order to get away from prison.
Paul Walter Hauser offers a clear response on the possibility of Stingray's comeback for Cobra Kai season 6, therefore ending the Netflix show. Hauser first joined the Karate Kid sequel show's ensemble in season 2, enrolling in the titular dojo under Johnny Lawrence's leadership before Terry Silver and John Kreese's teaching turned him into something else entirely in later seasons. Stingray made his last appearance in Cobra Kai season 5's finale; he helped a stranded Daniel La Russo and his wife Amanda to their new dojo to save their children during the pivotal final confrontation exposing Silver's depravity.
Hauser was asked recently in a TV Insider interview regarding his recent wrestling career whether he would be returning as Stingray for Cobra Kai season 6. The celebrity did indicate that Stingray would be back for the last season of the Netflix series, even though he spoke nothing on the details of his participation. He also made sure Stingray would have a farewell in some capacity. See what Hauser said below:
Although he was a member of the titular dojo in season 2, his participation in the violent West Valley High fight resulted in his arrest and probationary sentence, therefore excluding him from competing, especially following Kreese's ban the following season. Although it's yet unknown how Johnny and Danny would combine their dojos to participate in season 6's Sekai Taikai, Stingray has tried to atone in their view, so at last he will have an opportunity to prove himself.

Showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg are just as eager to give a happy ending as the likes of the students of Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do are sure to build even further expectation to see how everyone else's stories end, even if it could have been easy to let a recurring player like Hauser return for a few scenes without any major development.
Years after the Karate Kid franchise's events, Cobra Kai turns the script around and places viewers in the viewpoint of erstwhile rival/antagonist Johnny Lawrence. Down on his luck in his 50s, Johnny finds his way back to Karate by accident meeting a bullied young man. Accepting to assist him, Johnny uses the chance to bring his former house, the Cobra Kai dojo, back to life as a haven for misfits teenagers.
For Netflix, the show has become a blockbuster hit with great critical approval as well. The show's interesting characters and mix of action and humor set it apart. The show most certainly will have a long-lasting effect on the franchise.
Two Netflix seasons of Cobra Kai will show: the first will begin on July 18 and the second on November 28. 2025 is the last year.
Given the series' dramatic ending, the Netflix library will benefit much from the show. Audiences have come to enjoy the show, hence the last season should be rather popular.
Regarding the last season, you will most certainly find Stingray present. I cannot say when or how, but Stingray will get a farewell.
