Thanks to Remake Trail, Silent Hill 2 Fans Only Just Learning Angela's Real Age
Revealed during the May 30 PlayStation State of Play, a new teaser for Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 Remake contained a confirmed release date for the game. With protagonist James Sunderland fending off monsters like the dark nurses, the trailer descended into the depraved horror that the series is known for, but it also opened with the scene where he meets Angela Orosco in a graveyard, so exposing the remake's version of the character for the first time.
Trigger Alert: References to sexual violence and suicide abound in this page.
Having Angela Look Younger Will Create Some Even More Disturbing Moments.
Of course, some of the Silent Hill 2 Remake's events could be much more unsettling if Angela's new model looks more like her intended age. Angela seems to only be searching for her missing mother when James first meets her, but throughout the game she is shown to have had a terrible background that has severely impacted her personality and mental health; her later visible comments about her suicide thoughts while clutching a knife highlight this.
This is especially clear with the introduction of the monster Abstract Daddy, who also made fleeting appearances in the teaser and is maybe the most upsetting monster in the game. Abstract Daddy is the physical expression of Angela's severe and continuous sexual abuse at the hands of her drunken father, Thomas, and its terrible look reflects a man pinning a crying kid to the surface of a bed covered with decaying skin.
Angela's Background Story
Among the series, Silent Hill 2 is regarded by enthusiasts as the greatest. Here is the terrible background of supporting character Angela clarified.
Given James Sunderland's story already revealed in Silent Hill 2, Angela's background is surely among the more horrifying and terrible ones in the game. This could make these scenes even more difficult to tolerate than they were in the original game as the remake strives for more realistic character representations, therefore augmenting the horror that unfolds.

The artists of the game
With screenshots of some of Angela's moments from the new trailer with the caption "our baby Angela is finally revealed," darkenedglass posted to Reddit with phrasing that surprised some fellow fans, including NotTheSun0 and Phrickshun, who had previously thought she was in her "early 30s," or was 40, not 19 as she is actually supposed to be.
Arctuirin brought up the often circulated story that Angela from Silent Hill 2 was first patterned after Sandra Bullock, who would have been in her 30s during game development. Although the makers of the game never seemed to specifically address this, these suspicions could also have resulted from Bullock's performance as Angela in the 1995 thriller, The Net.
The Remake of Silent Hill 2
Bloober Team, the same creative team behind Layers of Fear and Observer, is working on a silent hill 2 remake. With revised graphics and gameplay, developers are reinterpreting James Sunderland's trip over Silent Hill.
A recreation of the original game excites many of the fans of it since it will improve the mood and narrative quality of the first.
