Hamish Linklater joins an already crowded Gen V season 2.
The main heroes of Gen V's season 1 finale survive a dangerous encounter with Homelander (Antony Starr), so fully tying The Boys with its college-set spinoff. The closing moments of the Prime Video show expose the core group imprisoned in what seems to be a rather isolated medical facility. In any case Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Jordan (Derek Luh, London Thor), Emma (Lizze Broadway), and Andre (Chance Perdomo) have no idea where they are.
Major adjustments are confirmed in the forthcoming episodes in line with the sad passing of Perdomo. At 27 years old, the actor died in March following a motorcycle accident. Variety verifies Hamish Linklater, actor of Midnight Mass, is joining Gen V season 2. He will be playing Cipher, a dynamic and appealing recently appointed Dean of Godolkin University. Cipher is political genius and schooled as a scientist. Authorities at the highest level also respect and trust him. Shelley Conn's Indira Shetty, the former Dean, dies late in season 1 and is replaced.

Known for his performance as Father Paul in the Mike Flanagan series Midnight Mass, Linklater joins a Gen V season that is yet unknown. Starting June 13, The Boys season 4 will probably expose more as two spinoff characters— Maddie Phillips as Cate and Asa Germann as Sam—will be appearing. It will follow a thread teased in line with Homelander's harmful and toxic ideals.
