Ride Or Die Honors Bad Boys & Bad Boys II.
Michael Bay's most recent Bad Boys cameo is a funny scenario in which he gets rather irate with the movie's leads after they decide to wander onto the street while lots of automobiles fly past. Bay doesn't seem to know them; he drives a black Porsche. He is thus not performing the same role as he did in Bad Boys II, but he is still driving the same kind of vehicle. It was so well-known in the first film that it created a whole scene only meant for Mike defending his car from criticism.
Ride or Die is still giving some attention to the original 1995 film even as it honors Bad Boys II. Although the Porsche is not exactly like the original Porsche Smith's character loved in Bad Boys, its look here is a deft Homage to the film. It also provides some cues of continuity, even if Bay is portraying an other character. Though many viewers might not have seen Bad Boys or its sequel, the link is slight and nevertheless a decent approach to link the series to its beginnings.

Mike Lowrey: Soul & Heart of The Bad Boys Saga
One of the two titular heroes of the Bad Boys series, Mike Lowrey has here all that is known about his background. One of the key characters— Mike Lowrey—has always been eager to put in effort. Marcus has always had a good relationship with him; he can make it through every trying circumstance and struggle with a little aid from his friend. As the franchise grows, this will probably keep on since fans will be happy to see more of Mike.
Additionally paying homage to the original is the Bay Cameo. Bay was the director of the first two films, hence his single cameo in the sequel was natural. He oversaw neither Ride or Die nor Bad Boys for Life or follow-ups. Still, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah made sure Bay appeared in a cameo role and included so many Homages so they would be honoring the original director the franchise had. Both Bay and the Porsche help to make Bad Boys: Ride or Die an unforgettable sequel.

The Interpretive Value of the Cameo
The Hollywood Reporter asked co-director of the movie Adil El Arbi about Michael Bay's Ride or Die cameo. Though he served as Bad Boys II's wedding MC, the director chose to honor the sequel with his cameo. He linked the first movie to Bad Boys for Life and explained how Ride or Die was meant to fulfil the same purpose as Bad Boys II. He also offered some understanding on the actual character of the black Porsche. Review his comment below.
He declared, "This is accurate. Bad Boys for Life paid more of an homage to the first Bad Boys, whilst Bad Boys: Ride or Die paid more of an homage to Bad Boys II. It also pays a wonderful return to that Bad Boys II sequence. We have a double Easter egg or homage there since the black Porsche in Bad Boys: Ride or Die is really the automobile from the first Bad Boys as well.
