Fallout: London: Massive Fallout 4 Conversion Mod
Three years after its first announcement, Team Folon's ambitious Fallout 4 conversion mod, Fallout: London, has at last become available for download and play on PC following a surprise announcement on July 25. Fallout: London brings the post-apocalyptic franchise to England, so highlighting how another planet negotiates the aftermath of the bombs as the name suggests. Featuring fresh factions and quests, this mod presents a totally different narrative and boasts a full voice cast including well-known British performers, so giving life to these new characters.
Examining England's Post-Apocalyptic Environment
Fallout: London presents seven strongly anchored in British culture factions. Among the prominent groups are the Tommies, British troops evocative of World War I, the Knights of Camelot, and the Vagabonds modeled like Peaky Blinders. Fallout: London feels like a stand-alone game since the mod's map is almost as large as Fallout 4's itself. For Fallout enthusiasts especially since Bethesda Executive Producer Todd Howard has said there are no immediate plans to set future Fallout games outside of the United States, this offers a much-needed infusion of fresh material.
Fallout: London: Complete Mod
London is a total conversion mod that utterly transforms Fallout 4 and offers players the closest experience of a Fallout sequel. It brings a lot of fresh material including a rebuilt map, fresh quests, and original factions. The attention to detail and depth of the material show the ambition of the mod, so enveloping players in a realistic and interesting post-apocalyptic England.
Fallout: London Calls Fallout 4
Fallout: London is still a mod and needs Fallout 4 to play even if it seems as a significant standalone experience. Right now, the mod is available on PC via Steam copies of Fallout 4 rolled back to an earlier iteration via GOG. Whereas Steam users must manually downgrade their game to version 1.10.163.0, GOG's custom launcher automatically manages this process. Sadly, Fallout: London cannot run copies bought from the Epic Games Store since the launcher does not accept update rollbacks. Team Folon, however, intends to bring Fallout: London to the "Next Gen" iteration of Fallout 4, so possibly enabling compatibility with the Epic Games Store.
A More Reasonably Priced Approach to Discover Fallout: London
Fallout 4 is a nine-year-old game, thus it usually gets good discounts and is regularly featured in sales. GOG is giving a significant discount on Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition for a limited period to celebrate Fallout: London's release. This version comprises all official DLC packs as well as the base game. For those who want to play Fallout: London, the cost of admission is thus rather low, particularly in cases when one does not already own Fallout 4.
The Lone Survivor: The Story
Fallout 4, Bethesda's action role-playing game, lets players take over the Lone Survivor, a pre-war soldier from an other future cryogenically frozen inside Vault 111. Following the kidnapping of their young son, the Lone Survivor searches the irradiated Commonwealth—more especially, the ruins of Boston—for any indication of their child. They come across many groups and friends along their path, using a range of talents to negotiate the ruins of society.
