Before continuing – It really feels a bit silly complaining about this new Xbox special edition's performance because I keep seeing all kinds of posts comparing the newer versions and speculating there could be upcoming performance enhancements or downgrades across models; something which personally strikes me as really stupid!

Frankly, It felt like I barely had a chance to digest the images before having the thing pre-ordered; which seems crazy given I could only manage pre-ordering it in two completely different places in a rush (a third retailer cancelled, since no more consoles were available, according to them!) Now this truly shows you about demand in excess even considering there may already have been too much excitement around the Xbox series x galaxy black from how many other models came before.
Finding where to pre-order may present quite a challenge if other fans were as fast as mine; make sure to check every store where you can and hopefully someone’s preorder will end up cancelling and allow you to grab the open slot!

If you need or want a truly epic, special edition – grab your xbox special edition as fast as possible since units likely ran out during or before official release; the Xbox 2tb version offers twice storage of the regular Series X so it was perfect for my needs!
Is this new Xbox for everyone? No, frankly that would be unrealistic – only to those needing some epic expansion of the regular capacity of their Xbox 2TB consoles and wants one with beautiful Xbox Galaxy theme. Most probably see no purpose in changing at this time. Personally I couldn't be happier – I love space – so Xbox series X Galaxy edition became instant pre-order; even at its higher than normal, price tag for a console!
This Xbox Series X Special Edition really is more to people in certain needs rather than any type of console improvement; don't expect any “performance bumps” but rather think about that double capacity – no need of additional externals; if your needs are as heavy, I personally couldn’t see getting a new Xbox console limited edition!
