Qui-Gon Jinn Lightsaber Hilt View Overview
The hilt itself is really rather amazing. With a weight I felt to be rather pleasing, the all-metal Lightsaber is remarkably screen-accurate to the version shown in The Phantom Menace. The famous red button, which basically runs via a plunger mechanism coupled to the bespoke core of the hilt, also truly delighted me. As seen with all prequel-era Jedi lightsabers, the lightsaber's blade also boasts the iconic Covertec wheel for attachment to a belt clip. This makes it ideal for cosplay, a canonical and useful feature incorporated with a great range of Padawan Outpost's lightsabers.
The bundled Proffie soundboard lets you have many more noises generally and an amazingly deep sound as compared to the ordinary Neopixel lightsabers. This naturally contains screen-accurate lightsaber hums, collisions, and the sound of arriving blaster fire deflections; it also includes famous Star Wars phrases and classic music tracks with the great majority of the presets already loaded onto the blade. Though I love Qui-Gon Jinn, I was glad to see I also had more than one single hue and set of noises to enjoy.
Swinging Qui-Gon's Lightsaber Is an Epic Star Wars Experience
Though Hasbro and Disney have some good lightsaber replicas (of which I possess), they really don't match the very bright and vivid colors, Smooth Swing technology, clash effects, and more features on display with this Combat Saber. Simple saber twist will turn the blade on and off. Locked in battle with another duelist, a strike and button combo starts a protracted conflict; the right click and downward motion produces a tip drag effect. Examining all the choices made me almost eupholic.
I can say that, having never used a Neoppixel/Proffie lightsaber before, it did take some patience before I was able to negotiate all the features accessible. Ultimately, motion controls and the one button of the hilt govern the whole sword. Reading the given materials will help one to understand which set of clicks and presses are required to alter blade styles, noises, effects, and so on.
Box contents and light assembly for Qui-Gon Combat Saber
Carefully wrapped with the blade covered, Padawan Outpost ensures that their several bespoke and character lightsabers reach their destinations unharmed and clearly shows great care with their products. The delivery timing for my new Qui-Gon Combat Saber lightsaber arriving from the UK to my US house two days sooner than expected delighted me as well. Along with an instruction manual and a list of all the various uses and several features that can be triggered with the amazing blade—which also can be accessed on Padawan Outpost's website digitally—the lightsaber also comes with
Padawan Outpost arrived completely intact but also included the required tools so that the hilt could be totally taken apart and the screws required to attach the blade could be tightened. Given that I first had some problems charging the lightsaber until I realized the internal killswitch was set on, most likely to protect the blade during transit, the option to totally destroy the Qui-Gon Combat blade is really nice. I also received a display stand for the lightsaber that needed some pretty simple installation (with internet instructions as well).
Lightsabers from Star Wars
The Star Wars series revolves much on lightsabers. Clearly among the most often found objects in collections of goods and treasures from the galaxy far, far away are the famous weapons of both the Jedi and the Sith. From a very young age, I have fallen in love with the Star Wars series; so, I have more than a few lightsabers leaning against corners and hanging on the walls of my office. Still, I have never loved a lightsaber more than the Qui-Gon Jinn Combat Lightsaber from UK retailer Padawan Outpost.
Having debuted in 1999 when I was four years old, the Phantom Menace is now commemorating its 25th anniversary. From that movie, then, there was no one more fascinating to me than Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson). As a 6-year-old, Qui-Gon's basic but elegant lightsaber had a brilliant green blade. I recall being so thrilled to receive my own plastic version with its collapsing blade (even though it was really Obi-Wan's hilt with a green blade). Two decades later, I find that same kid once more courtesy to Padawan Outpost's sending of one of their Qui-Gon Jinn Combat Sabers for Review.
There are enormous numbers of possibilities for customizing Lightsabers.
Investigating some of the other presets that came preinstalled reveals a lot of interesting choices. One such is Kylo Ren's distinctly unstable blade in the sequel trilogy. Many of the different setups, including Kylo's, may be found either by iconic blade names or by great statements from characters.
Rey Skywalker's yellow lightsaber set really caught my attention; it had really unusual and screen-accurate igniting from The Rise of Skywalker. Still, there were other fascinating choices as well, such the purple lightsaber from the Old Republic with very low hums by Darth Revan. Once I discovered a rainbow lightsaber style modeled by Sailor Moon, replete with quotes and music, I also laughed aloud.
Lightsaber Specs for the Qui-Gon Jinn Combat Saber
Although the Proffie model with the Neopixel blade is considered as one of the top models due of the quality soundboard and customizing choices, there are other options include a more reasonably priced base lit model as well as one that has a Neopixel blade but does not contain a Proffie board. Right now the Qui-Gon Combat Saber (Proffie Model) costs $422.
