Says concept art, Jack Quaid's 'My Adventures with Superman' Role Makes Him a Perfect Flash for the DC Universe.

DC Concept Art features a Superman Show Star as a Perfect Flash, cast by the DC Universe.

Gunn and Peter Safran revealed in January of 2023 a number of films and TV shows for Chapter 1, "Gods and Monsters." Among many more, new Movies and shows are under development for heroes like Superman, Batman, and the Green Lanterns.

The Flash is not currently scheduled, though, as it is unknown where the legendary speedster is positioned in the DC Universe. DC Studios' future intentions are not apparent either. Graphic designer and illustrator Julian Bell proposed Quaid as the next major screen version of Barry Allen with fresh artwork in the meanwhile.

Why Jack Quaid Would be Ideal as The Flash in Gunn's DCU?

Though time will tell where The Flash fits into Gunn's DC Universe, Quaid as the next live-action adaptation of Barry is a perfect choice for several reasons. Beginning with his present DC role, Quaid's work on My Adventures with Superman shows his ability for playing Superheroes since he is bringing all the charm and heroics viewers adore about the Man of Steel. With Quaid being in his second year playing a major DC character, My Adventures with Superman season 2 just launched yesterday.

Quaid had already made his debut in the realm of live-action comic book adaptations before he ever earned the part of Krypton's last son on My Adventures with Superman. Based on the semi-satirical comic series where Hughie Campbell is part of a team trying to bring down corrupted Superheroes, Quaid is presently starring as Campbell on Prime Video's The Boys. With Quaid displaying an acting range that would fit the Flash, his Hughie has shown to be just as much of a hero even without powers as some of the major DC Universe players.

The DC Universe: A Retrospection

Often rival Marvel, the DC Universe is among the most popular comic book series.Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson launched National Allied Publications in 1935, then changed it to DC Comics. Thousands more comic books, movies, TV programs, and video games have sprung from the brand since then. With Zack Snyder unveiling Henry Cavill as Superman, 2013 signaled the start of the most recent version of the Superheroes. Following many films with conflicting reviews, DC had a gentle reboot under James Gunn and Peter Safran.

From stand-alone films to DCEU installments, DC has had many blockbusters on cinema; certain movies are more rewatchable than others.

Flash:

One of the models Grant Gustin's The Flash wore in the Arrowverse TV series is Quaid's Flash outfit. Cinematically, Barry has only been shown in the DCEU; Ezra Miller stars in The Flash film in 2023 as the last time the Central City hero was seen on film.

The outfit fits Quaid's character really well. It demonstrates Quaid's ability to play the hero in a live-action version as an effective interpretation.

James Gunn Answers Concern About Whether Major Justice League Villain Plans Included

James Gunn might have confirmed that a major Justice League villain is on route into the DC Universe. Gunn's DC Universe is currently under production following the end of the DCEU in 2023, therefore bringing a new era of DC movies and TV shows. It will also feature fresh incarnations of some DC canon heroes and villains since multiple movies and series are under production.

Responding on a Gunn Instagram photo, a fan begged to "please wink if you have plans for Deathstroke, I am waiting for my boy to shine for so long." Not too long after, Gunn answered with a winking emoji likely confirming Slade Wilson's entry into the new DC Universe.
