Launched in 2011, Hunter X Hunter, one of the most beloved shonen franchises ever, had a remarkably successful anime adaptation. Tracking up to manga chapter # 339, "Stillness," the series ended in episode #148, "Past x And x Future." Madhouse still owns rights, but only time will definitely confirm. More episodes will most likely be created when the manga finishes, maybe as early as the Succession Contest arc ends. No news is absolutely good news here. Fans of the program could attempt Yu Yu Hakusho, another Togashi work akin to Hunter x Hunter in shockingly many ways in the meanwhile.
