Does Echoes of Wisdom Have an "Adventure Log"?
You're gonna love this! The new Zelda game, Echoes of Wisdom, is looking awesome - especially since they added a really helpful feature we haven't seen in the past Zelda series!
What’s an “Adventure Log”?
This isn't something completely new to video games. But, the new Echoes of Wisdom got this special adventure log directly from Breath of the Wild. It is like a to-do list for all the awesome side quests and missions that make the game even cooler!
Why Is This New Feature Awesome?
The original Breath of the Wild was crazy big! Imagine wandering around Hyrule for days on end, talking to tons of people - it's easy to forget a task! Now with this new adventure log, you can always check back in with those missions and get them completed!
- You won't need to write things down like the old Zelda series, but if you haven't played Breath of the Wild, that is exactly what it was like!
Where is Echoes of Wisdom Coming From?
- It looks like Echoes of Wisdom is a super cool blend of older Zelda games - like those classic, super awesome 2D games like A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening.
- It's almost like a combination of those really detailed 2D Zeldas with modern game design and a bit of Tears of the Kingdom thrown in!
Wait - Is This Just a One-Time Thing?
- Well, that’s a big question! Everyone was loving the new Zelda games, especially Tears of the Kingdom, because it was such an awesome, ambitious design and was basically an entirely open world, a real open-world physics sandbox, in a Zelda series game!
- It sounds like Echoes of Wisdom has some cool quests that can be taken in all sorts of ways and also an awesome quest design with side quests! Maybe Nintendo decided that they will carry this kind of quest design forward, meaning those side quests and this super handy log might actually stick around. It wouldn't be that surprising - those quest log tools in new games really are an easy way to give players something they really need!
It's pretty cool - we get all the amazing stuff we love in Zelda: super fun quests and an awesome open-world exploration - and a quest log for extra awesome features! That quest log feature may actually change The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom!
You can bet that Echoes of Wisdom is going to be the coolest Zelda game yet - we even have this cool trailer to get us pumped up! And who knows - it's pretty possible that Echoes of Wisdom is going to set the foundation for a whole new world of Zelda game design!
