While Sam Carver's future at Firehouse 51 is now unknown, Jake Lockett has apparently confirmed his part in Chicago Fire Season 13. The Chicago Fire season 12 finale had plenty of surprises. Arguably Firehouse 51's most important story was Chief Boden's leaving, but Jack Damon's Benny Severide turn was equally remarkable. Between all these narratives, it was easy to overlook Carver's absence at the end of the shift. Stella Kidd said he ended up in a fight after a particularly trying call and departed on an unannounced leave.
Lockett apparently verifies on his official Instagram page that Carver still resides in Firehouse 51 for season 13. View his post below. Lockett is referring in the video text to Carver joining Truck 81, usually the enemy of Squad 3, but in a friendly manner; Joe Mińoso's Joe Cruz is part of Squad 3. The video has a cameo by former Chicago Fire actor Alberto Rosende as well.
Many character departures during Chicago Fire season 12 would significantly affect the future of the program. Though much has been said about Firehouse 51 losing Boden, the character's leaving was at least a typical step for his plot. He deserves the opportunity to run the Chicago Fire Department given all the outstanding work he accomplished. Given this, Carver's likely Chicago Fire exit is more significant than Boden's. Fortunately, it seems he will finally make his way back to Firehouse 51 as Chicago Fire season 13 starts this fall.
Not to add the ongoing speculations about Kelly Severide's possible exit, Matt Casey's and Blake Gallo's departures align Carver to be one of Chicago Fire's next major stars. Lockett, a rather recent addition to One Chicago, has fitly embraced the team, much like his character in Firehouse 51 would have. Apart from a consistent addition to Stella Kidd's team, his relationship with Violet, the best love tale from Chicago Fire season 12, is interesting. If it stopped, it would be unfortunate since Carver left and still a lot of research on their developing romance is needed.
The connections of the character changed significantly in the finale as Firehouse 51's crew traveled on and sought to manage these developments. The revelation of the Firehouse 51 bespoke modification Sylvie Brett chose further underlined the importance of the alteration for the ensemble. Viewers will learn how the next episode turns out when it airs.
Following the personnel of the fictional Firehouse 51, Part of executive producer Dick Wolfe's Chicago franchise—a series of TV miniseries examining the life and professions of various public service workers in Chicago, Illinois, Chicago Fire follows With Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, and Eamonn Walker among the ensemble cast, the show centers on Firehouse 51's firemen and paramedic crews.
Knowing that Kidd and the house have someone as dependable as Carver at this moment helps as Chicago Fire season 13 will be in a transition period. A fresh batch of people is expected to arrive to cover certain personnel shortages.
