Venom, the Symbiote antihero, is known for being powerful and unpredictable! The symbiote itself has been connected to multiple different hosts over the years! These bonds allow it to explore its abilities with remarkable results!

With the Marvel Multiverse! There are so many ways for the series to explore how these powers unfold and Venom is a perfect example of that.

What we've come to find in the Comics are these wild variations that take the power of the Symbiote to new levels!

15. 'Black Suit Spider-Man' Was The First To Use The Venom Symbiote

  • First Appearance: Amazing Spider-Man #252 (Published in 1984)
  • Creators: Randy Schueller, Jim Shooter, and Mike Zeck
  • Origin: Peter Parker, before bonding with the symbiote, believed it was some awesome new futuristic suit, that had new capabilities, and would become a powerful tool, enhancing his skills to new levels!

But what happened next was something none could expect! This special, Powerful suit ended up being an alien that took over his mind!

After all, who could think that this suit would transform from something cool and sleek to something that wanted revenge? Peter ended up being forced to abandon it!

However, it led to a major point in Spider-Man history and even more importantly a special event known as "Secret Wars" that brought many superheros together.

It appears Spider-Man didn't realize what this alien power really could do!

Even with the addition of its new and awesome powers, like giving him super strength and the ability to control his webbing, it didn't reach its peak for anyone!

14. Dylan Brock's Venom Is A Worthy Successor To His Father

  • First Appearance: Venom (Vol. 4) #7 (Published in 2018)
  • Creators: Donny Cates and Iban Coello
  • Origin: Dylan became Venom after the death of his dad! What's interesting is, Dylan didn't inherit the powers in the same way. Instead, his physiology was completely altered! His very being was connected to the symbiote, making him truly one of a kind!

Dylan Brock, unlike the rest of these characters who bonded with the symbiote was able to affect it on such a major scale! He was also known for his ability to evolve symbiotes and this would make him incredibly dangerous, because he could give it an extra power. You might see some people arguing about whether Eddie or Dylan are a better fit!

13. Mac Gargan Was A Savage Venom

  • Creators: Mark Millar and Terry Dodson
  • Origin: A former criminal that had a special assignment by Norman Osborn, Mac Gargan ended up in a terrible situation, bonding with the symbiote, which turned him into an absolute monster.

Mac Gargan was truly dangerous. It appears this was a really tough era for Venom! Not only was he extremely vicious, but he didn't just consume people but he ate others in the same species!

What was even more sinister was he knew who Spider-Man really was! He became a terrifying force, the embodiment of what was evil.

12. Eddie Brock Is Venom's Most Famous Host

  • First Appearance: Web of Spider-Man #18 (Published in 1988)
  • Creators: David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane
  • Origin: A man on a quest for revenge! This is what makes Eddie Brock stand out, as a former photographer, he wanted to really get back at Spider-Man. This led to one of the greatest, if not the most compelling bonds with Venom.

It's crazy, when you look at all the hosts. There are so many reasons why he's famous! He became one of Spider-Man's biggest threats and his most well-known enemy, becoming the series' top Villain!

The interesting twist to the story, was he even transformed from an absolute bad guy to a more ambiguous figure. What fans might appreciate is, even when it seemed like he wouldn't become anything other than a major bad guy, Eddie Brock turned into a full-blown hero! However, that was only for a period. Eventually Eddie moved on from this role as the King of Black! The new host, however, appears to be Dylan Brock, so fans may just get to see how this will play out.

  • Creators: Stan Lee and Steve Ditko
  • Origin: Flash Thompson is one of the more surprising, and powerful heroes! Flash Thompson became Venom after returning from Iraq and losing both of his legs!

Flash wasn't the typical person who fans would imagine as Venom, it was so refreshing, and inspiring! You will get to see just how extraordinary his time was with the symbiote!

The best part is Eddie Brock saw just how special their relationship really was. While visiting Flash's grave the symbiote made it clear that this was a special bond that would be difficult to break! Agent Venom took on an exciting and unforgettable approach!

  • Creators: Jeremy Holt and Jesus Hervas
  • Origin: This time, the story takes us back into the world of What If and we get to see a wild moment in Wolverine's history. It started out in the comics, as a battle with Sabretooth, a moment that resulted in Wolverine bonding with the Venom Symbiote! This is the story from Earth-1984 where things took a terrifying turn.

Wolverine's mind was trapped within the symbiote's power, while this version took over completely! He began attacking civilians all across New York! But as we all know Wolverine has an inner strength, and eventually he's able to claw his way out of that and break free of the symbiote! That left some scary lasting memories about just how much potential it has!

  • Creators: Peter David and Khoi Pham
  • Origin: Another trip back into the What If? world and we are getting the full range of what could have been! A situation where a powerful version of Spider-Man is caught up in a truly terrifying encounter! He gets thrown into a cocoon where he can heal. He gets re-born and is incredibly powerful!

When this happened on Earth-616 he was even more potent, and able to overcome what seemed to be the impossible!

The "What If series always is super compelling. When this was applied to Earth-70134 Spider-Man didn't emerge from the cocoon to the joy of his fans! What fans got was an encounter with Venom who was ready to strike. The outcome? Venom had total control of Spider-Man! This resulted in a monster! Even more powerful, this hybrid turned into Poison! It seems his morality and his powers as a super hero were out of the window. You are left to imagine how dangerous this version could truly be!

While they faced death during a big storyline, it shows you the real strength of Venom even in its new forms! He became so incredibly powerful. There's this blend of incredible skills!

Even more, his mental state really affected Venom, and this gave it an extra edge. In Venompool we got the ultimate match of instability and chaos! It even turned into a truly powerful threat!

Deadpool has become one of the most iconic antiheroes. So there are all kinds of wild theories. The possibility of the Venom Symbiote and his unique and twisted mental state! And you can get a taste of this awesomeness, with all of the awesome powers combined with a healing factor, making him almost indestructible!

Dr. Strange's death allowed a dark and crazy force! In this universe a portal gets opened up. You have all these crazy and horrible characters and the Venom Symbiote ended up attaching to the awesome hero Miles Morales!

It doesn't end there!

  • This led to another big moment when a "Carnage Symbiote" became a powerful threat and also bonded to Miles Morales.!

That sounds truly frightening! A real threat with all the combined powers of Venom and Carnage!

  • Creators: Chip Zdarsky and Pasqual Ferry
  • Origin: A situation where it seemed Spider-Man had become super evil! That was in the What If series and after it appeared, the symbiote would ultimately attach itself to Reed Richards.

You have a man known for being a super intelligent hero who has an extra, terrifying layer as Reed Richards! It appeared the bond gave him complete power.

What might have made him one of the more evil versions of Venom was the fact that Reed Richards, who's known to have tremendous brain power, made copies of Venom that then turned a large amount of the universe into a battle between good and evil!

You get the symbiote and you have a huge power play, in this instance the Venom, abandons his former host and ends up connecting to Hulk.

What might have been a little surprising is, how quickly "Carnage" defeated "Venom Hulk".

These characters truly made an appearance with incredible feats. While they may be powerful, it seemed like they lacked some sort of an edge! You are looking at a creature with strength. That might rival the most impressive feats of some of the strongest Marvel Universe heroes!

  • Creators: Simon Spurrier and Tigh Walker
  • Origin: This story might just be one that gets people really thinking. You have Robbie Reyes who was caught between a struggle of good and evil and is bound to Venom, and he doesn't seem to be the one in control.

Robbie Reyes managed to break free of the control that Ghost Rider had over his body but then was caught in this terrifying moment. A battle for the ultimate power!

Venom wanted revenge! But to make things truly unique, this was all happening a trillion years ago. Even with an endless number of years. This symbiote, who went after everything and every single symbiote and devoured each one to gain strength, not even stopping at humans!

There's always so much going on with "Venom!" And to top it off this symbiote took its ambition to a whole other level.

It decided to do some copying and multiplied to a truly endless, unstoppable force across the universe, becoming a real threat to life!

To take things one step further, Venom took an extraordinary leap. He decided to become part of each and every planet, making this one of the wildest moments in Comics!

Even when the list seems to make this amazing and powerful, creature incredibly potent. It looks like Venom's power is limited to just the Marvel Universe. To see this in an epic film and see these different hosts show off their special abilities would truly be unforgettable. The ultimate battle for the ages would include Spider-Man and the entire range of his amazing, powerful, heroic and villainous cast of characters!
