G.I. Joe #1 Brings the Joe Team Into the Energon Universe
Skybound Entertainment is ready to launch a new G.i. Joe comic series that will expand the Energon Universe. The series is set to launch this November and will be one of the biggest comic debuts of the year. The publisher finally brings the Joes together into an all-new team after over a year of build-up and four Joe-themed miniseries. G.I. Joe #1 is expected to rock the very foundations of Skybound’s shared Transformers/G.I. Joe universe.
The Duke miniseries saw the Joes finally coming together into an all-new team, and now the publisher is following through on the promise that was made at the end of the series. The Energon Universe was officially kicked off when the Transformer Jetfire appeared at the end of last year’s Void Rivals #1, and now Skybound is ready to expand the universe even further.
G.I. Joe Encounters Cobra For the First Time in the Energon Universe
G.I. Joe #1 will bring the official first meeting of G.I. Joe and Cobra in the Energon Universe. The series will reunite Tom Reilly and Joshua Williamson, who set up the new Joe organization in their Duke miniseries. Williamson is also the writer of the recently-concluded Cobra Commander miniseries. G.I. Joe #1 is also set to introduce an all-new character created for the Energon Universe.

A New Era for G.I. Joe
G.I. Joe #1 is being touted as the biggest comic book launch of the decade. It promises to introduce a bold new vision of G.I. Joe and Cobra to the Energon Universe. The series will be a perfect jumping on point for new readers and will reward loyal Energon Universe fans with an amazing debut. Skybound Publisher Robert Kirkman also shares his excitement, saying, “I love it when a plan comes together,”. “With the foundation laid, Skybound is primed to expand the Energon Universe with an ongoing G.I.
