Avengers: Endgame's Embarrassing A-Force Moment - Could a Multiverse Team Redeem It?

A Miss in Avengers: Endgame's A-Force Tease, but Marvel has time to fix it.

Recall that scene in Avengers: Endgame whereby all the female heroes came together? The one where Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, required a little additional assistance with the Infinity Gauntlet? Sure, that was that moment. It was meant to be an homage to A-force, a supergroup comprising Marvel's female heroes. For many fans, though, it felt forced and embarrassing—like Marvel was merely trying to fulfill a diversity box requirement. Now, a fresh theory holds Marvel Studios might redeem that moment by adding a multiversal A-Force variant in Phase 6 of the MCU.

Reflect on it. Marvel Comics feature the vast, wild multiverse. And there is no scarcity of strong female heroes available today. What if, in another reality, A-force developed as intended? This A-Force might have all kinds of fascinating characters, including Captain Carter from What If...?, the Nova Corps' Nebula, and even the heroic Hela variant.

A Multiverse A-Force Team Might Be Fantastic Actually.

Heroes from other, non-MCU series could also abound on the multiversal A-Force team. Imagine if Jessica Alba, who indicated she would want to play Sue Storm again, returned to do so! Sydney Sweeney's Spider-Woman (after she's hopefully redeemed from Madame Web) and some of the female X-Men could even be part of this A-Force variation. Regarding a dream team, talk about this.

It goes beyond the personalities as well. In the MCU, the multiversal A-Force team might have a genuine mission. Perhaps Kang The Conqueror or another strong multiverse villain set off a killing spree eliminating men from many worlds. The surviving female heroes would team to exact retribution. Like in the initial A-Force comic book narrative, they could be like the guardians of a matriarchal society.

Marvel Studios might produce something very unique with this crew. This is an opportunity to tell a really epic tale and give female heroes the attention they so merit. Who knows, maybe an A-Force film results from this as well? Hence, here's hoping Marvel Studios considers this idea. It's the ideal approach to honor Endgame's A-Force teaser and provide supporters the strong, fierce, varied team they are due.
