Hunter x Hunter Anime Ending: Gon's Discovery
Hunter x Hunter's narrative tracked Gon Freecs, whose aim was to become a Hunter and locate his father, Ging, who left him to follow his own aspirations, through 148 episodes. Gon's path, however, included many side trips and detours in search of important friends and participation in emotionally charged, potentially fatal conflicts. At last Gon meets Ging, accomplishing his only objective; nevertheless, it could be challenging to grasp the ending of every story arc given the main characters' different paths taken and own development.
More especially, since the last episode of the show presents the narrative as though it were nothing more than a prologue. This fits the reality that Hunter x Hunter's anime only spans the end of the 13th Hunter Chairman Election arc in chapter # 339 of the manga, which has 400 chapters published at the time of writing and has already unveiled two fresh story arcs. Hunter x Hunter's last episode thus seems to be both the end and the beginning of an adventure, which would perplex some viewers regarding what happened and what will happen next for every character.
Unquestionably, the Chimera Ant arc is among the best in manga and anime more than ten years after it finished.
How Gon's Adventure Was Ending Hunter x Hunter's Anime
Following Ging's message to meet at the top of the World Tree in episode #146, in Hunter x Hunter episode #148 Gon ascends the enormous tree, meets his father, and has a heart-to- heart chat with him. Inquiring about his most desired item, Gon asked Ging, "whatever he doesn't have". Ging then goes on to say that he became a Hunter in order to access a burial ground belonging to a royal family and that he could only enter via a privately sponsored and covert expedition. Ging had to locate friends and shell out a fortune on project execution for this reason. Ging made it abundantly evident that the challenges and adventures of this mission, together with the friends he encountered, were the payback. Setting the stage for the next arc of the manga, Ging tells Gon that his next objective is to explore the Dark Continent, so confirming to him that the pleasure of being a hunter is exploring the unknown and enjoying the journey and the friends made along the way.
Ging says he needs four things to reach this goal: authorization, means, qualification, and contract; although he still does not satisfy these criteria, he will still enjoy the process until he does. Gon eventually returns Ging's Hunter's license and the two start to discuss their most fascinating encounters. Through a unique moment between father and son reunited by the same desire and ideal of adventure, Hunter x Hunter ending teaches fans, a lesson about autonomy and freedom, showing that the real fun of life, beyond the reward, is in the experience.
How Gon and Killua Part Ways in Hunter X Hunter's Final Ending?
In the anime's 147th episode Gon visits Killua and Alluka. Gon discovers Alluka was the one who healed him and apologies for how he treated Killua in the Chimera Ant Arc. Killua advises Gon to see his father by himself and that he wants to travel the globe with his sister. Since they will always be friends, Gon and Killua then choose to follow their own paths and split in a sad yet hopeful event.
After he is at last free from the Zoldyck family's rule, Killua sets out on a quest to discover his own identity—a goal he has had from the beginning of the narrative. Partly due of guilt for leaving Alluka and Nanika all that time and returning just to use their powers for Gon's benefit, Killua's new goal is to protect Alluka and Nanika so their powers won't be used by others. Alluka said she would be alone with her brother for a bit and then let him go most likely knowing this.
Following the anime, what happens to Gon and Killua?
Following the emotional chat with Ging, Gon speaks with his father once more—on the phone this time. Gon cannot feel his own aura, thus he understands he has lost his capacity to use Nen. Ging says that Alluka most likely returned Gon to "normal" while healing him; this is to be expected since he was ready to give everything he had to fight Neferpitou and was most likely for the best since he can now pursue what he wants to do going forward.
Gon chooses to go back home to Whale Island with his aunt Mito, where she welcomes him with a lot of schoolwork to catch up on, since he has already reached his goal. Killua doesn't resurfaced in the manga until the Succession Contest arc, when he speaks with Kurapika on phone. Killua suggests Biscuit Krueger for his mission to bring Hunters to guard the Kakin princes and counsels Kurapika on how to treat her.
Hunter x Hunter makes most of its complicated power system possible through many amazing characters.
What becomes of Leorio and Kurapika at the end and following the anime?
Kurapika leaves the city to keep looking for the stolen eyes of the Kurta Clan following the York New City arc. His last episode of the anime revealed that he had already located several scarlet eyes and set up a symbolic funeral for his fallen friends. Later on in the Dark Continent Expedition Arc, Kurapika joins the journey to the new world as a bodyguard of Kakin Prince Woble when he learns that one of his brothers, Prince Tserriednich, has the remaining of his clan's eyes.
In Leorio's case, he shows up momentarily in the last episode of the anime as he watches with a smile the picture Gon sent him from the World Tree and attempts to unsuccessfully phone Kurapika. Leorio punched Ging during his speech in Hunter's 13th Presidential Election arc, so earning him a very good reputation among Hunter Association members. This is why, following Pariston and Ging leaving the Hunter Association, he is invited to join the Zodiac Twelve by Cheadle in the next arc. Cheadle claims that Leorio's image will enable the Zodiacs acquire the power required for their success on their mission. Leorio finally agrees to travel to the Dark Continent working at the Medical Center with Cheadle and suggests Kurapika fill the other open post.
Hunter X Hunter features some amazing sequences in 148 episodes; these 10 events stand out from the others and help to explain why the show is a masterwork.
The New, Dangerous World Presented by the Dark Continent Expedition Arc
Presented as the location outside the world map where the Chimera Ants and Nanika originate, the Dark Continent is rife with hazards and home of five calamities capable of wiping off humanity. The arc opens with the news that Isaac Netero's son, Beyond, the King of Kakin plans to visit the Dark Continent, a journey under which Following this, the Zodiacs are assigned a particular task and must travel. Leorio and Kurapika later join the Zodiacs and divide into factions to get ready for the journey, learning they have a spy from Beyond among them. Pariston also travels with Beyond Netero's expedition team, then Ging requests to be second in command. Ging participates in part to regulate Pariston's behavior and since he also wants to visit the Dark Continent.
The Succession Contest Arc carries psychological battles to a fresh level.
Beginning in chapter #349, Hunter x Hunter's manga follows the 14 princes who could inherit the Kakin Empire's throne and must kill each other for the sole prince to ascend to king. Each one is therefore given a Guardian Spirit Beast since the Succession Contest's rules forbid the princes from killing each other directly. Each prince is guarded by a group of personal bodyguards as the Guardian Spirit Beast cannot kill each other nor directly attack others who have a Guardian Beast. This starts a psychological battle of wits marked by anxiety, tension, and mistrust where treacherous nature predominates to find how to stealthly kill one another. Along with some of the Guardian Beast's horrific designs, which fit a Junji Ito manga, this builds an interesting and exciting arc. It also includes the Phantom Troupe's and Hisoka's return, hunting each other on the Black Whale.
Though neither Gon nor Killua take part in the next arcs of the manga, the ending of the anime provides the closure required to find oneself and develop until the point when they return to Hunter x Hunter's narrative carrying a fresh hunting goal in a new adventure.
