Movies News Talk
Galitzine has had one of the most shockingly spectacular careers of recent years. He was basically an unknown creature before 2022. He then landed in Purple Hearts, a Netflix movie that finally launched and was successful. This sent Galitzine—who would later be Jeff in the raucous teen comedy Bottoms in 2023—into a mini-boom. His great streaming film career continued in 2023 when he starred as one of Prime Video's Red, White, and Royal Blue's leads.
Netflix allows Purple Hearts to be streamable. Then Prime Video cast Galitzine in the age gap romance The Idea of You, with Anne Hathaway. Given this addition to his resume, the actor has been even more labeled as a streaming star as very few of his films have been shown in theaters. Actually, Galitzine has only appeared in very few movies altogether, hence Masters of the Universe presents a fantastic chance for him. Unlike his earlier films, Amazon actively intends to have June 5, 2026 theater releases of the picture.
Nicholas Galitzine will be included in the forthcoming Masters of the Universe live-action production. Long-standing Mattel IP Masters of the Universe revolves on the continuous struggle between He-Man and Skeletor on Eternia, a planet with both medieval sword warfare and advanced sci-fi technologies. Masters of the Universe has evolved into myriad incarnations, including the most current Netflix animated series Masters of the Universe: Revolution.
Galitzine has since been cast in the Masters of the Universe live-action film via Amazon. He-Man will be in front of him in lead. Travis Knight, the CEO of Laika Animation Studio, will be directing the movie. Chris Butler wrote the script; David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee helped shape a first draft.
For Galitzine, the live-action Masters of the Universe offers a fantastic chance to break out into the theatrical mainstream in a manner he never has experienced. Although playing a legendary character like He-Man is certainly difficult, if done right it has a chance to propel Galitzine even more into celebrity. For both Amazon and Galitzine, it's also an opportunity to grow their already-existing working relationship—which The Idea of You, Red, White, and Royal Blue developed. With luck, this freshly crowned Masters of the Universe star will find success.

Originally starting with Mattel's 5.5-inch action figurines in 1982, Masters of the Universe is a multimedia series. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe had their own TV show beginning a year later in 1983, much as many successful toys from the 1980s did.The series has included TV episodes, games, comic books, and even a live-action film with Dolph Lundgren starring in 1987.
The property is still expanding and evolving, hence a live-action Nicholas Galitzine movie will be well appreciated by both new viewers and fans. Unquestionably, the next movie will be an interesting project to await.
