That is extremely suspiciously Wanda-like – the entire plot in the latter portion focuses on her use of Chaos Magic! Several hints show Billy has inherited his mother’s powers: mind control, telekinesis. The crazy awesome detail? His crown in episode 5 resembles Wanda's in Multiverse of Madness! It’s totally significant! It does appear however, that several important decisions by these creative minds shows a path and method for delivering such changes.

Wanda was/is super powerful – strong enough to obliterate Earth-838's strongest heroes! That absolutely crazy display of power? Her ability to change reality to erase a villain's voice and another to simply cause instant death; These were things easily performed! It's not simply those things though! Those classic abilities – energy blasts and telekinesis were easy work for Wanda. Her insane displays were further intensified in those crucial confrontations.
She did this partly due to the Darkhold's amplified abilities! Yet this also demonstrates her frightening, instinctive use of chaos magic far surpassing experienced witches! And Billy appears to be similar; He effortlessly takes control of three powerful witches! That’s crazy! Yet this insane power was only fully unveiled as the show moves toward its climax, further showing how much his own potential could reach; adding further mystery that would impact future installments and could shape his own future character designs! This hints toward what we might see!
Will Wiccan Follow in His Mother's Footsteps? The Perilous Path of Chaos Magic
This is important; If Billy does wield chaos magic, that huge power will affect his choices; maybe he'll repeat his mother's mistakes. Wanda's villainous Multiverse of Madness arc had some reason; and there were deeply traumatic experiences she had to go through before! And Billy? His recent trauma is extremely significant and those various factors affecting his life; the death of those around him could create something worse than the pain his mother went through! Those emotional aspects were almost a key setup throughout the prior season. What might we see?
That reaction after Alice's death almost instantly caused harm – he attempted to kill innocent witches; followed by a calm: “Not that nice,” shows a serious problem! Coupled with that connection and influence from Agatha, Billy might even become more dangerous than his mother (even while she is still in this state); this storyline leaves so much untold; this could greatly increase the potential to build additional lore for a longer timeline; perhaps even becoming an epic spanning far greater and deeper into Marvel history. Even forgetting the possibility of him becoming the villain, he remains a potential threat.

He is shown to become a dangerous figure and potentially become even worse than his mother was shown; which makes those future plots all the more engaging and important. Marvel totally dropped a hint. If you can wield chaos magic this well, expect to have some huge changes! It sets the stage for some truly fantastic storylines!
