Marvel's resident officials and watchers of the Marvel multiverse form the TVA, or Time Variance Authority. Their duty is to neutralize and/or eradicate worlds too harmful to exist as quickly as feasible. Originally seen in the 1986 comic Thor #372, their appeal exploded as they were included into the Loki series of Marvel Cinematic Universe. The TVA are the multiverse's time cops essentially. They guarantee that time runs as it should and that nobody alters the chronology.
