Tulsa King Season 2: Paramount+ Ratings Soar, But What About That Explosive Cliffhanger?!
Hold onto your hats, folks! Tulsa King season 2 is a total smash hit on Paramount+! After 35 days, it's averaging over 10 million global households—a whopping 8% higher than season 1 at the same point! Those first seven days alone generated 5.4 million active sub households— a new series record, for this Paramount+ original series!
Even social media's buzzing! The show's engagement is eight times higher than last year. And those views? An amazing seventeen times higher! (Important note: Paramount+ (like all streamers) can't count unique viewers precisely – this means only household counts are possible. This reporting system measures those households viewing; making total unique views simply not readily available.) This amazing level of sustained success shows the importance of paying attention to this incredible Paramount+ Original TV Series and why you might want to consider watching yourself!
But those rising ratings aren’t the only thing generating buzz. Episode 7 dropped a massive reveal – but also some shocking and unexpectedly unpredictable twists which could impact this upcoming final story arc. Remember that car bomb in episode 6? (Dwight’s Navigator exploding, his father-in-law Mark inside). Well, the guilty party got exposed and viewers can finally see who had attempted such a violent act and the result, as well as some additional story arcs and characters which ultimately become quite crucial for determining which sides some allies and enemies take for later confrontations in the story’s final arc!
Let’s focus on Chickie (Domenick Lombardozzi) who is dealing with some serious internal problems: since that incident from season 1 where he killed his own dad, his position's been weak! Vince (Vincent Piazza) is waiting for a slip-up and tries for an absolute takeover. He rallies those other New York crime families; getting an enthusiastic, mostly positive response, to put him into that boss position instead; highlighting exactly the state of that New York organization in this particular timeframe.
That does not necessarily imply an outright victory though. Chickie's known for disastrous judgment; but Vince isn't much better, possibly bringing his downfall before he'd take that power! That's especially crucial considering Chickie may likely realize his rival’s intentions, leaving some important lingering consequences which might even result in unexpected changes later on, if Vince had failed, leading to potential plot twists never thought of before.
The other key issue surrounds the confrontation and events regarding Dwight: it turns out Bill Bevilaqua wasn’t responsible for that earlier explosion and instead demonstrates much less outright violence. He doesn’t want Dwight dead right now. He's focused on money, especially now that a crucial sit-down has greatly improved profitability! However that does not eliminate future conflicts: should things ever change, Bill might easily shift to using violent solutions to solve whatever conflicts may still exist in the near future! That ending cliffhanger completely raises that possibility once more! And if this occurs in this last few episodes, those might become extremely important to consider, especially if there are potential plans regarding how the remaining episodes might unfold, regarding the various involved gangs and plots in which each individual is embroiled within.
The mastermind behind Dwight’s nearly fatal car bombing was Jackie Ming (his alliance with Cal Thresher). His goon Hanjin planted that bomb. And this is where we discover his poor planning as that bomb exploded way too soon– getting Mark instead. His reasons remain simple and self-serving and shows the main cause behind this attempted murder. This means Jackie viewed Dwight as a direct threat which impacts Jackie’s operations – harming profits through impacting employee trust and loyalty and because Dwight’s presence had affected Cal’s attention, also hurting Jackie's profits!
Even though they were able to expose Jackie Ming’s crime, it doesn’t matter and is made secondary, when the later major twist impacts everything dramatically in those last minutes: That unexpected ending brings forth Tyson’s (Jay Will) attempted revenge on Bill Bevilaqua; but what follows is a truly unexpected attack against his crew!
Vic Aliotta’s (Gregory Albrecht) attack could've had unexpected consequences and impact all involved. If that entire incident gets traced back to Dwight; the truce could be over. The ending could be made disastrous because of Tyson’s recklessness! That potential for bloodshed completely adds to that final moment of this incredibly intense, well-written episode that ends by leaving more intense expectations for those last several story arc episodes that remain for the future!
Tulsa King season 2 is exploding! Those amazing ratings and that killer episode 7 raise expectations enormously. Those big reveals and the unexpectedly violent end add even greater anticipation! The situation in Tulsa's criminal underworld might reach new heights. So be prepared; buckle up, those several remaining episodes will probably involve some surprises; those surprises which could’ve only been developed through creating suspense and unpredictability during that earlier point. This truly intense ride might even leave some major surprises to make those last three episodes even better.
