Is The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Really That Bad?
The Umbrella Academy just wrapped its run with Season 4 - talk about a big surprise. Fans really seemed to like the first couple of seasons, but after the ending it seems a lot of those Umbrella Academy reviews are less than awesome. A big part of that comes from one major storyline that might just be the weirdest thing we've ever seen. The series did great with its wild family of superheroes, and its overall story was a hit, but all this kinda fell apart because of one crazy plot twist - that involves those super strong characters, Five and Lila.
Five and Lila? Seriously?
Let’s get real - that love story is more twisted than those other Umbrella Academy plots. Even putting aside that Five might look younger, in reality he is super old, and it just doesn't make sense - Five’s actor is a whole bunch of years younger than Lila’s actress. There was absolutely no need to get those characters together - no reason! Think of it this way: if you liked Five and Lila as individual characters, all those cool scenes with the other Umbrella Academy characters get kinda messed up with this whole affair.
Why Were People So Upset With "Five and Lila"?
Let's get the lowdown - Lila and Diego were together! Even through all their flaws! They worked, right?! Now, Diego's super bummed. How could Lila do that? They never even got to resolve all that crazy family drama and how Five might have been part of those family problems.
Why Does The Ending Leave Some Fans Disappointed?
- Those other Umbrella Academy seasons had those great relationships, all these characters going through real things! Now, all of a sudden - their journey gets wiped out by this ending! So many characters are stuck with those hard moments.
- And those characters get totally erased! That’s not cool for anyone. Think of it like, those awesome superheroes don’t have any purpose - they just get stuck in a story where their stories no longer mean anything! That’s not cool!
- What is super confusing is how Lila totally forgot her own kids, like, those kids she loved so much in the show - especially during those seasons she and Diego were together. I think they messed this one up in a huge way, as the show totally doesn't focus on how she misses them! The writers tried to say that Lila really loves Five - it’s super weird. It seems a bit messy in how they put together the final story.
- Now, The Umbrella Academy gets a super bad score on Rotten Tomatoes! Fans are not exactly happy! What a bummer because so much of what we love was kinda destroyed - they left us in this really disappointing ending. It’s a total let down after all those awesome stories!
Fans loved The Umbrella Academy's early seasons. And I think it is crazy! It has one of those interesting and unique stories with lots of wild family dramas! They even have that whole crazy love story about Five and Lila, that everyone loves, which makes it so frustrating to get to that Ending! I feel bad for those fans! They messed this one up.
