The Rings of Power Season 2 Review: What Worked and What Didn't

Amazon's The Rings of Power, a huge, highly anticipated television series, has gotten a lot of feedback from viewers.

A Fresh Start:

A lot of people weren't satisfied with how season 1 unfolded! But what about Season 2? A ton of fans said that this was exactly what they were hoping to get from this show. This was how season 1 should have been from the beginning!

Improving the Series:

The Rings of Power has some great storylines. And Season 2 took things a big step forward for many fans!

  • They gave the series some new pacing! It definitely feels much smoother and less messy.
  • There were even some impressive character arcs!
  • This made the whole show feel like a true Lord of the Rings adaptation. The main story that people wanted, it's truly where the show shines, too!

Amazon's incredible story brought in a unique sense of complexity in its first season 1 in some major areas. It even got criticism over some of the story's points, which didn't follow Tolkien's original works.

You have characters such as Galadriel, Gil-galad, and even Elrond! For the most dedicated Tolkien fan. The big challenge with The Rings of Power's initial season was a focus on creating more complexities with the characters and the story but didn't live up to those expectations.

It looks like season 2 fixed it, and fans get to enjoy this as the show brings a compelling storyline.

The Rings of Power is all about those "rings" which have been an icon to Lord of the Rings fans. They were introduced early on but now get the spotlight in this special season 2. Fans get to see all of this play out! That includes more about Sauron! You even get to learn just what this terrifying villain was like. Fans love the idea that it shows more about this infamous Sauron. All these iconic moments from the series. That's why season 2 really shows you how compelling these moments truly are!

Those who haven't gotten a chance to dive into the depths of Sauron, there was even the addition of "Annatar" as well.

  • He's a being who can take different shapes and even make those who want to acquire power. The idea is to deceive those that seek greater power.

This is an iconic element of Tolkien story and if that isn't enough Celebrimbor, was another huge character in season 2.

  • His history gives fans something to keep their eye on and shows that his epic moments help give "The Rings of Power" such incredible meaning. This makes those "rings of power" even more valuable in the end!

As season 2 comes to an end, fans and those that watch The Rings of Power really love how it turned out. There are some important parts to consider.

  • There's that kiss that "Elrond and Galadriel" have!
  • And that has made a lot of Tolkien fans have some questions. For the dedicated, this would never be true and Tolkien, himself. The whole plot for that love interest is going to be quite a change.
  • Tolkien would never say that a major change. As fans are trying to figure out the storyline!

Now, when we're talking about these characters. There is some truth in their love. Even though "Galadriel" never shows this in her story.

What about "The Stranger" character?

  • A character that appeared earlier! Who might not seem like a key character.
  • But at the end! It all came together! Season 2 confirmed who this mystery was. And it might have disappointed those fans who are loyal to J.R.R. Tolkien because of the show's story!
  • This particular element has left so many questioning the changes! It doesn't have this sense of connection with what "Gandalf the Grey" was doing during the Second Age! That doesn't match Tolkien's, original tale.
  • Even though those changes might cause an uproar! That doesn't mean fans are out of the loop! There is more about The Istari! These are wizards, like Gandalf. The show does give those who like to learn some intriguing new ideas about how "Gandalf", may have shaped this universe!
  • Those who follow "Rhûn" might see even more about this. This character in this new adaptation has caused controversy in this world.

It may appear that there's nothing in common for The Rings of Power's season 2. But you will see the great complexity of this. If we were just talking about "Tolkien." fans, but also the creators as they took risks! This gave a special depth that has drawn fans in for the ages. They were able to give it a brand new feel to those who didn't realize how intense the show's storyline could become.

This awesome show will surely deliver even more epic events for everyone to get excited about and keep tuning in as more story moments will unfold and if you want a special piece to watch over the weekend. Make sure to put The Rings of Power on your list! If you don't know if you have seen this, it could be a nice way to dive back into the Second Age of Middle Earth.
